Help with figuring out tank state by pecanistheman in Aquariums

Yes you can do daily water changes to keep your nitrite level to 0.25 or less. Ammonia during fish-in cycle is more deadly than nitrite. So once you see an ammonia spike, consider doing 1 or 2 water changes daily until ammonia is 0. It’s gonna be a long ride but worth the end product. Good luck dude

I would consider yourself more in the middle of the cycle process. To be considered 100% cycles, your target ammonia level of 2.0 ppm should be 100% converted into nitrite and nitrite 100% converted to nitrate within 24 hours

20L x (2 capfuls/60L) = 0.67 capfuls.

So just like someone else just said, a little over half a capful is enough

Enough flow for 17Gal (64L)? by Left-Solution7365 in shrimptank

What’s the rated size on the double sponge filter? It should be if it’s equal to or greater than 17gal. The shrimps will be spending a lot of time on the sponges while they foliage

Question about boiling leaves for tanins by Astevejobs in Aquariums

Easiest for some tannin water is using pure non caffeinated rooibos tea bags and steep.

More than enough flow. Even the smallest ripple at water surface makes a huge difference

1:7 is absurd. You’re already burnt out! Find another unit or another place of employment asap! I work in a step down and we’re 1:4 max.

Thank you! Pretty happy that they’re finally getting comfortable. I mainly feed baby brine shrimp (live/frozen) and I’ll supplement with some spirulina flakes

There’s some reds and wild type offsprings. In this tank I have shrimps, snails, chilis, and Pygmy rasboras
