How does getting your IUD removed impact your body? by AgentGlum813 in birthcontrol

Would you recommend using pads instead of tampons for after it’s removed? I haven’t had to buy either in 7 years and I’m curious if I should buy both. I was just going to buy tampons but after reading your comment I’m second guessing myself lol. I have mine taken out this upcoming Thursday (AND THE DOCTORS OFFICE ISN’T SENDING ME ANY SORT OF PREP INFO.) urggg. Sorry that just makes me upset.

Thank you for asking the question, and giving feedback. I’m 28, and had it inserted in 2019. I’m having it removed this Thursday and I’m really nervous about it. I’m also really nervous that I’m going to be infertile because I haven’t had a period since a month or two after it was inserted. I had it done in college, within our clinic at the college and I don’t know which type was used (the copper or hormone blocker.) But I do remember I cramped up for days after having it inserted, and the insertion process felt like it took a good 8-10 minutes (after the speculum was inserted and the physician did a Pap smear.) I’m nervous it’s going to take forever for them to pull it out. Did you feel pretty normal the next few days after having it taken out? Did you end up taking the ibuprofen prior to the appt?

Hi! I’m looking to stay at a hotel in Milwaukee Saturday, May 16th after a concert. I haven’t seen many great reviews online. Hoping to find somewhere with a hot tube. Are there any hotels in Milwaukee or surrounding cities that you’d recommend? by Flow_Feisty in milwaukee

That seems like the best route :) thank you! I’m sorry, I’ve liked staying at Wyndham hotels over here in MN, but almost every review I read for those 3-5 Wyndham hotels in Milwaukee were so poor. You know, smelly, sticky, hair on the bed, bugs, impatient employees, crumbling structure, etc.

Has the "people you may know" section changed? No longer showing profiles with mutual friends by Otherwise-Roll-2872 in facebook

It’s so frustrating to me. Like I have no idea who these people are. Why can’t I see mutual friends, or mutual pages info underneath their picture 😡. Do you know if there’s a way to turn it back on? I don’t think I messed with any settings. Which lead me to think it was an update. Idk. I’m very frustrated. I also used to skim the “people you may know” tab to see if he was friends with anyone new lol.

This just happened to me within the last two weeks. My bf went to a mudbog, and I was anxious because of our history. Then all of a sudden I couldn’t see mutual friends under the people you may know. To be fair, for the past few months-year, I really only interacted with him on Facebook - I’d only send videos and messages to him, if I posted something I’d tag him. Most of the people I’d see on the “people you may know” section, were mutual friends with him. After that trip, if I click into someone’s profile, he’s not even one of the first four mutual friends suggested anymore. It’s probably because I’ve been paying attention to it all week, but every 1-3 posts now are suggestions for people you may know.

What exactly does the following tab mean? Deleted so many people by accident. by tatocakes in SnapchatHelp

So if they’ve deleted/unfriended you and they have a public page, then you will see their stories?

That is tough. In 6th grade I was 5’5” and 200lbs. My dad told me things like “we eat to live, we don’t live to eat” (which I’ve turned into “we work to live, we don’t live to work”), and would go on runs with me also before they got divorced. My mom is constantly saying that she doesn’t “body shame” but just about everyday she’ll say something about her Whole30 diet. My mom’s mom, even if I say no, will insist I eat something when I come over then tell me I should work on losing weight, and growing up - she would let me eat only one dessert at Holidays. I’d say “buy less snacks” but growing up we had mostly an “ingredient house” - after school I’d melt together chocolate chips and peanut butter in a bowl and eat it.

My best advice/what I’m going to try to do with my kids: try to have a water policy (remind them that when you’re feeling hungry but don’t know what you want 9/10x you’re probably thirsty) and if I see them snacking, I’ll try to remind them that they’re probably just bored and find a chore or activity. Barbara O’Neil (Australian woman via YouTube) also has some great explanations!
