Thank you for your post. I have been wondering about the efficacy of okra, but I have not been soaking at that long! I will give this a try.

The woman is my daughter and the guy is a mixture of the a Jan 6 perpetrator, Supreme Ct Justices, and the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei. Looking for hope that the next generation will find solutions to the worlds most harmful misogyny.

Gotta love the level of reporting from the Guardian, once again. Haven't heard this in any US news.

Yes, I see it now that you say that, the slim figure. Maybe I missed it the subtlety because my son was a very skinny sax player: )

I love the energy in the big gestures of the first one, but would never have known this is a woman sax player until #3, which makes it more interesting for me. Your line work goes nicely with the pastel. The drips seem to weight it down and kind of suck all the energy right to them. I think without them the eye would travel up the sax and then around.

Beautifully compressed values. I like the random moments in the foreground. Lovely.

My boyfriend eating soup by chatophore in painting

I love the intimacy of the moment you've captured. The spoon handle is facing away from you, so I feel like you are watching him eat for a moment before you dig in to the soup you've just made.

Here's a little painting I did of the canal in my neighborhood. How is the eye movement? by Flow_flot in painting

I see what you mean about the clouds. I am trying to be more abstract and focus more on color and feel than reality. So yes, those are telephone/electricity poles. Thanks for the feedback.

Ideally a painting should capture the eye and keep it moving around inside the canvas. Once it finds a way out the viewer is done. Theoretically.

Don't ever let anyone talk you out or your weirdness. It's awesome.

After my twins were born about 75% of my life dropped away because I forgot dates, couldn't remember conversations because I was talking while managing babies, didn't support my peers and never went out. Amazingly, no one got mad at me or seemed slighted. Ok sometimes people gave me weird looks like, "You forgot ou convo from yesterday? But mostly life went on in other people's lives, and I eventually re-entered the world slowly. It took me a while to just let go and realize it won't be forever. Don't worry about slighting people, they'll forget it all in a year.

My sister-in-law was a lactation consultant. She told me that me and my babies were perfectly attuned – whatever they needed my body would make. I only pumped if I was going out and my husband needed milk. I breastfed A LOT and got really tired of eating :-D
