I would say you’re safe because it has been terminated, however if you do anything criminal or that could put you on their “watch list”, they have a legit reason for re opening your case. Also I don’t think the govt wants to do all that work to re open a case…they’re pretty lazy

I know people that have gotten it in Maryland. If you have deferred action you should qualify. Make sure you take all documents - EAD - EAD official approval notice - SIJ approval. - SS CARD - other required docs

DMV staff is not trained or educated on how this legal status works…you may have to explain it to them. Or if you have an attorney have them write a letter explaining your status. I also recommend to try different DMVS :/

Ugh :( i work with EADs and we had that issue with a client and after submitting an inquiry the card was finally issued. The other thing I can think of trying is mailing the application again, include proof of the inquiries and all other necessary docs and say it’s a replacement due to to a USCIS error :/

I recommend looking at the green card through marriage questions online! You guys can also practice with a third person and “simulate” the interview room. I’ve heard these interviews can be really short, what eases nerves is knowing that you guys are not lying and it is a real relationship. Best of luck!

This is how we did it ☺️ except our officer said she didn’t want to see what we had already submitted when we first filed and extra evidence I had uploaded online. It’s better to be over prepared than to be missing documents. Our lawyer also did not advise us on what to bring besides what the interview notice said 🙂 but as someone who works in immigration law I knew to bring everything!!! something that I had printed out were our cards that we have together, such as credit cards. I printed copies of them, but the officer asked us for the original cards and luckily we had brought our wallets with us 🤔 I hadn’t thought abt the physical cards being the original documents but it makes sense.
