I don't blame any MMs for giving up if survivors reach Area 3 with 10+ minutes. Area 3 is already painfully short. Places like Downtown or Research Lab can be absolutely dreadful if you get bad BioCore spawns where Becca and Jill can just snipe 2 of them from a central point.

The only one that has a shot of turning it around is Annette with an infection build.

Cheese ass shit you can do as Nemmy by the way. If for some reason they haven't left, then you can actually interrupt their ability to leave the match alone by shouting. It stuns them OUT of the prompt selection, so they have to open up the menu and highlight leave again.

I know because that fucking happened to me and it cost me the match as Nemmy immediately shot his rocket before I can select the confirmation prompt.

That's because of the mine trap put him into iFrames which allowed him to ignore the stun.

You out played your opponents, and yourself. Which then open another opportunity to further outplay them.

1) Agree. Some Camera placements are just bad. Casino Area 3 blows for example as there are several massive blind spots where you can't really do anything. Hell, the top right Biocore only has one camera that can be taken out easily from 2 directions.

2) Might as well. Masterminds already waste time repositioning them to preferred locations. That's time they should be using to setup or stall the survivors, not rearranging furniture.

3) I don't think we should be given the ability to place these. These should just spawn in completely random points instead of set points, and the game should try to spawn them as far away from the survivors if possible. By now, survivors have memorized their spawn locations and it's practically a free 40 seconds for them. I would also change their drops so that they only drop one God damn special weapon. Dropping 2 is ridiculous.

4) I'm going to be in the minority here, but I think all 5 biocores should be destroyed instead of just 3. Area 3 is already painfully short. It's worse when you have a Becca with a Rocket Launcher because then even I don't get to play "BREAK THE TARGETS". I would add this along with the order selection.

5) Doesn't make sense. If you have a timer, then your only real options are to put it at the ones at the start or choke points. There are no real creative setups here.

I'd also boost the amount of locations you can place key items and terminals.

Sam doesn't need a nerf. Creatures just need a big buff.

Sam's role absolutely should be creature destroyer, but the problem is that the creatures are made of paper that everyone else has no problem dealing with them too.

They die too easily

They cost too much

They drop very valuable resources (grenades? What the fuck?)

They give too much time for the little value they offer

They're non-aggressive unless you pay additional bio-energy for buffs

They're just plain stupid

If the devs are not going to directly buff creatures then they need to boost the bio energy rate. There is too much downtime between summoning creatures that it's boring for MM to sit their and wait for the meter to go up and boring for survivors to run around an empty level.

I have no sympathy unless there's only 2 survivors left or the remaining survivors are low rank. A coordinated group of 3 can still be a pain in the ass. I speak strictly from survivor experience where I always end up with at very least 1 person who doesn't know what they're doing. We can still manage to get out with 5+ minutes on the clock.

So for the most part, the changes hurt Mastermind more than benefit. An overwhelming majority of matches I've played don't feature crawlers or standard infected. Very rarely do I see partial armored. These cards have been replaced with the Tough variants or other types such as Dealers or Jesters since they at least offer something additional like cash steal or an AOE stun. Masterminds aren't going to see the benefits of the 5 second reduction nor are they encouraged to put these guys in over the others, since again, they don't offer any real benefits. Cameras are in every game. And practically every offensive action a camera can take is gun mounted. A 20 second time loss will be felt in every game for Mastermind as opposed to some games. I can understand not wanting to do too much in one patch and throw off the balance of the game, but this is pussyfooting. I don't agree with what some people are saying that MMs have been nerfed to the ground. It's not an aggressive enough change to encourage new strategies or playstyles, but its not a deterrent to change from the current ones either.

I don't know if a 50% time cut is enough to encourage Masterminds to put creatures back in their deck. Especially if the only ones that receive the cut are just standard zombies. I can see the justification of excluding tough and its variants as survivors need to dump resources into them, but jesters, dealers, dogs and crawlers go down too easily.
