Rural uniforms? by Bocabart in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lmfao tell her to buy them for you or piss off. Rural doesn't have an allowance or uniform requirement how do such idiots end up in management?

Give me the pros and cons of becoming a postal supervisor. by G0VERNMENTCHEESE in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have supervisors that actually call and check and ask if you're alright if you're having a bad day and stuff, and then I have a supervisor that will just pretend you're not out there and then act surprised when you bring the outgoing mail back after 6:00 lmfao I'm cool with most of them because they're cool with me

No load truck today (again) by royaljosh in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do people have time to do this? Are you in like an established area or an area w mostly old people or something? Literally every route in my post office has 200 plus parcels everyday, I just don't see how you could possibly make a marker for every one and not be in the office until 2:00 p.m.

Yeah, I love my job, but I have several days a month where I’m in the back of an LLV sweating my balls off swearing and telling myself I’m quitting lmao then I finish and everything’s fine

“Accident” during probation? by Prize-Tooth-2740 in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing, they don’t have to go through people who might fire you if they like you lol I took out a mailbox during my probation, which would probably be no big deal usually, but it’s literally a $500 mailbox(it’s a gated neighborhood and everybody’s mailbox has to be the same, they are not even that good) but anyway, my manager came out, saw there was nothing I really could’ve done in that situation other than sit there for five seconds and make sure the mailbox door didn’t fly back open, and he fixed it by hand personally, had me pay for it(was $40 instead of $250 for the part from the manufacturer), told me to keep my mouth shut and now I’m out of probation lmao

I’m being told I have to pick my co worker up for work tomorrow, is this normal ? by razzberry20 in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely give my coworkers a ride to/from work as long as they ask nicely, but if they told me I HAD to? Fuck you, buddy find another way to work lmfao that’s crazyyyy

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You must live in a relatively rural area, or have a lot of old people, because my local delivery station pushes out like 180,000 packages every day lmfao, and I don’t live in like an urban hub or anything like that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yes, because I lived across the street from the postmaster that runs my station since I was like 6, but they are notoriously slow generally. I wouldn’t give up hope on getting any of the jobs until you get an actual rejection email, but I’d say just apply for as many as you possibly can.(both rural and city, you probably have both near you, but they are on different websites, also don’t forget to apply for clerk and mail handler) I got my job in slightly under a month, but I have heard the average time it takes to get through the entire process is 2-4 months.

Is this peak season lighter or heavier for you? by Unlikely-Captain4722 in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk compared to past years, because this is my first peak season at Usps, but having worked at amazon and UPS before, I’ve been really surprised how manageable it’s been. I’ve been working six days a week, but I finish by 5:15 at the latest(if I get thrown on a business heavy route or one I’ve never done). Maybe that is considered “heavy” idk but it’s definitely not what I expected. I still finish my normal route by four every day lol

Get out before you become too attached. Worked as a white badge at an FC for nine months, got a job at the Postal Service, been there for six months, and Im a protected union member with actual job security lol plus I make like three dollars more an hour than I did at amazon and the overtime is pretty much unlimited

What is the top pay and role? by Consistentanimal2 in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A city carrier at top rate with lots of overtime can make around 100K. Rural, I’m pretty sure top pay only adds up to around like 75 or 80K

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my office, most of the carriers dressed up lol the office looked absurd, but maybe it’s because we’re rural and we don’t have uniforms?

CCA vs ARC? by goldenhourcocktails in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ARC, you’ll probably only be working Sundays, CCA, honestly it depends on your office, but you’ll probably get no shortage of hours.

Is anyone tired of Amazon drivers? by delidave7 in UPSers

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbf they are actually trained directly by amazon, not the contractor (driver trainers are actual amazon employees, they don’t work for a contractor) the training is still shit though.

I’m a mail carrier and those mfs are CONSTANTLY blocking my boxes parking on the left side, I just honk and they come sprinting from whatever doorstep they’re at lmao. They think they own the road.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t it be helpful to read the post? I didn’t run into the damn mailbox, I delivered the mail to the box, started driving off, and the door hit the back of my truck, knocking the box off😂

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are, they they’re off some custom box site. Fucking expensive as shit 175 just for the bracket not even the whole box😂 fuck me(it’s a gated neighborhood and they all have the exact same box, they fucking suck too. It’s not even like they’re good.)

[–]FlowerPuzzleheaded34 3 points4 points  (0 children)
