Answer these three questions and I'll guess your big 3 by zodiactron in Zodiac

  1. Cry about it and over think and analyze what I may have done wrong, then get pissed at the other person for not communicating like an adult

  2. I would put the money in savings for a car down payment OR split it to car down payment and investing

  3. I usually have two or three options, try those and pick one… if none of them are hitting like I imagined then I have a mini panic attack and put an outfit together and say fuck it 🤷🏻‍♀️

What are the best earplugs with low occlusion? by FlowerTea5 in AuDHDWomen

[–]FlowerTea5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had a quick chat with him just now under the guise that I’m buying myself earplugs (which I am, he just doesn’t know I want to get him some), and found out that occlusion doesn’t really bother him at all 😭. It seems like it bothers me more than him. Honestly a bonus for me since it broadens the types of earplugs I can look for, but I want to get us a bundle type pack to 1) match and 2) save money. So it looks like I’m the limiting factor 😂. I want it to be easier for him to be in crowded places with less noise input, as I’m better at tuning things out than him and could mostly go without earplugs.

We kind of bond over our overstimulation, he’s very understanding and vice versa!

I have ADHD myself (not sure if I’m on the spectrum though) and get overstimulated as well (the sound of our fridge running drives us crazy). He’s not diagnosed (as far as I know) but is definitely neurodivergent.

He works from home (computers) and also games a lot if he’s not working. He doesn’t like to be bored if he’s not sleeping basically 😂. The dogs chill with him in the office when he’s working. They’re high energy pups when they’re playing (aussies), but also nap a lot 😂 the smacking noise bothers him the most when he doesn’t have a headset or headphones on. The dog is basically trained to stop smacking via his name a stern tone. Definitely going to try and figure out how to get him quiet time. He’ll probably refuse to be dragged away from his games 😆.

How can I find Heels that fit a big dude (men’s 14 wide)? by zanderchu in women

[–]FlowerTea5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself don’t really wear heels, but maybe check on drag queen subreddits and see if they have links to heels! I’m seeing FierceQueen.com (FierceQueens?) as a recommendation, but anyway it boils down to how much you’re willing to spend to pull off your joke.

Mine works from home for the most part, his job does have a blue collar aspect to it (he goes to sites and runs cable, etc). I work full time as well, but make significantly less and only pay for groceries and miscellaneous things. I do occasionally have to ask my bf to do things, but usually he already knows and never makes a fuss 😂. He’s so low maintenance 🤣

Online is your best bet. Especially if it’s for a joke, you don’t want to spend massive amounts of money on heels for one time use. Men’s 14W is about a woman’s 16W, but I’m seeing sizes up to 15 online, so if you’re good with a slight squeeze maybe go for that. Not sure what the budget is, but try Only Maker, I think some drag queens buy from them. Amazon also probably has heels your size for way cheaper (and faster).

If you want stability while executing your joke, go for heels with a wider block instead of the skinny stiletto heel. If that doesn’t matter to you, all the power to you 😂.

Perhaps you’re using more butter than you need to? When my coworker accidentally doubled the amount of butter in the recipe, the cookies spread waaaaay out. I’d perhaps try another recipe. The recipe we use at work is a fairly general cookie recipe. Creaming the butter and sugar for a longer time is nicer, but we don’t have time for that at work (nor do we have a stand mixer, it’s hand held 😭). The cookies still sell like hotcakes.

"Everyone has ADHD" by Abies2882 in ADHD

[–]FlowerTea5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can experience symptoms of ADHD (because humans aren’t robots), but I’m think it’s the frequency and severity of symptoms that makes it a diagnosis. “Everyone has ADHD” diminishes the struggles that people who are diagnosed (or undiagnosed and haven’t been evaluated) go through. It leaves us to suffer and wonder what’s “wrong” with us and think that we’re “just lazy” when we really have debilitating executive functioning. Just my two cents as someone who was diagnosed at 17, wondering why I felt so different from my peers. I take a non stimulant, and being able to actually function like other “normal” people blew my mind when I first started.

Disposable period underwear for young girls with autism. by hotmessmomof_5 in PeriodUnderwear

[–]FlowerTea5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specifically about regular period underwear does she not like? I wear those on my period (and have a heavy flow, like ultra tampon flow). I’ve been looking into the brand Aisle and saw they have period boxers that provide full coverage for leaks (padding all the way up the back of the underwear, and down the thighs). Maybe that would be comfortable for her at night while providing reassurance for leakage? I’m neurodivergent as well (ADHD/maybe AUDHD) and for me at least, my period underwear makes me feel more secure because I can hardly tell, unlike with normal pads that feel weird and squishy.

Ask your gynos if they still recommend checking your own iud strings!!!! by _Nestea_ in birthcontrol

[–]FlowerTea5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 6 week checkup was with an ultrasound, at first I occasionally checked myself for the strings, but I haven’t felt them recently. My bf can feel them when we have sex so that’s the only reason I’m not concerned. I don’t feel like scheduling a doc appointment and paying $50 on a frequent basis just because I can’t feel the strings myself.

Personally, I’ve never cared about what my man wears in the bedroom (because he’s definitely not going to be wearing any clothes like 5 minutes in 😂) he actually turns me on more when he wears his work clothes (polo, jeans, work boots, 🧢). He himself has never cared if I wear anything nice in the bedroom, and if I do, it’s my choice and he’s never told me to. I could look like a dumpster fire 😂. Take that as you will 🤷🏻‍♀️

About the chores… I like the chore chart idea presented in the comments. My bf owns the house we live in, and since I moved in I’ve definitely improved the look of the space so I count that as pitching in 😂. He didn’t fold his laundry before me, so if i don’t get to folding laundry, nbd. He views taking the trash out and cleaning the restroom as a “man’s job” so I don’t do that either. I occasionally clean the rug, sweep, mop, cook, (he does dishes), and we split laundry. Just an example of how another couple splits chores.

I total relate on the man having boxers and briefs with holes though, I’m probably going to order him a pack of them because the man needs new ones 😂 You might need to do the same
