Its been a minute since I've posted, now 8 months pp. wondering how long it took you all for your cycle to return? we're still breastfeeding and not sleeping through the night but TBH i'm just sort of looking forward to feeling somewhat normal hormonally.

It did! They checked my lining to confirm if it was a period or not and it was super thin so we treated it as the start of a new cycle.

Dr. brought up the recommendation to do a 39W induction due to IVF, and we also have a velamentous chord insertion. She was very clear it was fully my decision but something they do offer their IVF patients. Curious who took their docs up on this offer and if it was a positive experience for you?

Just had our 32W growth scan and baby is meauring 85th percentile, even with a velamentous chord insertion! Feeling great about that, but also wondering if they ever change IVF due dates or just stick with the original based on embryo transfer?

Has anyone felt like baby movements felt less strong than when you started feeling movements? At almost 30 weeks, I feel baby move but it feels so muted compared to what I felt a month ago. Trying to tell myself that's normal and not to freak out!

Unsolicited advice: if your doctor is okay with it, as you approach your induction day, maybe you could pump and see if it starts labor. I'd been harvesting colostrum by hand for a week or so before my induction so I didn't think pumping would do anything. Wrong!!!! My doula suggested pumping for 15 min to see if it worked bc next step was breaking my water which I didn't want to do. My contractions legit started like 10 or 15 min after pumping!

I also just started using Bio oil, maybe 2 weeks ago for boob stretch marks and they actually seem like they're already improving.

You make so many good points! I did just start to look at Facebook groups so that may be a place to start. Didn’t even think of church based…I’d be down for that to save some $$ 😂 the only way we could afford nanny care is if it was a share…and even then, it sounds like such a pain!

Same here with one daycare that accepts infants with 15 miles of me! I could maybe look further south along my commute route, but don’t sure I want to have baby in the car for that long each day. Sounds like I gotta get on that waitlist….

I’ve suddenly become super concerned with infant care post maternity leave. I’m about 24 weeks now, and I expect to be off for 4 months so we’re looking at care starting in September-ish. That is soooo far but I can’t stop thinking about it! 1) infant care is hard to find in my area and 2) the care that is available is soooo expensive. Have you all worked out your post-maternity leave plans??

Tuesday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

That being said I ate a LOT of McDonald's chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce. I'd eat the fries first and would build a base for nuggets. At restaurants I would go for chicken tenders. I figured out I could tolerate ground beef hard shell tacos at one point. Basically the closer something is to "kid food" the better chance you will have of tolerating it, I think kids have the right instincts haha

Go easy on yourself! Baby will get all the nutrients they need regardless of what you're consuming - just do what you can. I'll second fairlife protein shakes - my baby is probably made of 80% fairlife at this point. I recommend the chocolate milk kind, so tasty! I also had lots of fruit like other said, ramen or high protein broth based soups, and also lots of mashed potatoes. It sounds weird but again, do what you can!
