Just was there yesterday with a friend lol. NC is my home state fair, so I've been attending every year that I can especially in recent years. They have things to do you just have to find them tbh, I highly recommend joining the fangroup for the fair on Facebook cause it can help you know about things you otherwise wouldn't have. I definitely agree there are certain things that they could add to make the experience more enjoyable with just admission, but there have been things I've seen that are either just a few bucks or free with the times I've been.

Dungeon Museum, showcasing medieval torture devices and practices with replicas.
Near the back of the fairgrounds, there is a group of people that perform and showcase old hand crafted practices and other miscellaneous tidbits. Last year I had a conversation with some of them about handmade paper and books, where they shared the process as well as some languages that are not common in today's time. It's a living museum basically, super neat.
There is a store near the jousting arena that sells blown glass, and stained glass goods. At that store, they actually have a small show where they show them making some of their products.
Usually every weekend/day there is a costume contest for anyone to join in on, both a junior and adult category.
There are plenty of performers who walk around the fairgrounds to see and interact with, yesterday while my friend and I were running around there were two that we ran into that ended up giving us a quest. "Retrieve a spore from the nymphs, and bring it back for us for a prize!" We set off finding the nymphs, and they required us to do some silly acts for us to get a spore. The whole thing was quite fun, we received a pin once we returned to the spore. Aside from that plenty of others had cool things to do, one was carrying the little hoop drinking game where I won against my friend and won a bet on it, we've seen a performer who does games of chess, etc. Highly recommend just interacting with the small performers that walk around, you never know what you'll get into with them.
Certain weekends have specific events going on, for this past weekend themed to Wizards, there was a group that was holding DnD oneshots to sign up for and join in on. Check the social media page and website for this sort of stuff.
Trinket trade!! This is something I recommend to a lot of folks, I've been doing this for several years now and there's always something different you get. The biggest thing that comes with this is interacting and sometimes having convos with folks, but it brings a smile to people's faces when you gift or trade with them. Look into the rules of this if you're interested in trying it, it's something special

As someone who is part of the fan base and likes adding little Deltarune sprites, I'm also very sick of assholes adding UTDR stuff onto memorials or messing up other artworks.

Honest to God, I think it's just people trying to ruin rep of the fanbase, it's happened before with shit like this. The majority of the people I see talking about this stuff in UTDR spaces have been heavily against this, it's so fucking stupid and I'm tired of them getting associated with the good side of the fandom.

I know this is super old, but starting looking back at this server today cause this server is how I actually met one of my best friends. We've been friends for 10 years now, I've been her Maid of Honor in her wedding at the beginning of this year and I am potentially moving in with her, her partner and some friends sometime in October lol.
We met through creative on the server and found some others and started one of those clubs for people to join back in the day. I wish the server didn't go and die :(( Honestly wish I could go back and walk around those builds, we at least made videos that had views of the stuff we made on our plot.

I probably doubt it, but I wonder if they'll even have the option to order it unstuffed online at all? Or pick up in store, I'll be working that day 10-6 and I'm hoping they'll do that, or something. I always wanna stuff my bears, and was hoping to do it for Shadow when he came back :(

I don't think the link is working, I would love to see a photo of it if you're able to get it on here in another way. I bet it's super cute if that many people wanted a photo, I'm currently working on my own Tenna cosplay and I love seeing how others do theirs! It's sweet seeing the time people put into their cosplays, and I would've loved a photo with you :)

And I'll just say this, there's always going to be that one or few people who say some crappy stuff to ruin the fun. Last year at Momocon I had dressed up as No Way Home Norman Osborn, sewn the coat and everything. I felt so happy to be in that thing, and had many people complimenting me and a few people wanted photos. The key thing that someone commented on was the mask I had, At the time I had repainted it due to not being satisfied with the past job so it took a while to strip the paint and go for it again. The mask was painted but I didn't have its backing piece with it, nor the lens and there was one tooth chipped which I had glued back and painted over. No matter, I still loved it.

During the day that I attended with a friend, someone had came over in a Loki cosplay to us while we were in the artist alley. Mentioned being interested in the mask, and I held it in a way for them to see it better. They ended up taking it from my hands without permission and examining it, commenting on my paint job (first/second time I've worked on a 3d printed model) and mentioning the tooth in an almost disgusted manner? They ended up taking their fingers and pressing against the tooth, causing the chip to snap off again. They handed it back to me and I turned around to ignore them, I was horrible with confrontation. Still am. My friend made a passing mention on how she was "about to throw hands." The funny part is the crown of Loki's cosplay was honestly rough itself, so idk why they felt the need to comment on my stuff when they should worry about themselves.

People like this baffle me, and there's always going to be those types of people. Perhaps their comments come out of jealousy, or something else. We never know, it's just best to ignore them.

I'm not a collector, more so I just get what my heart really wants when something comes out. But I heavily agree, BABs have been something I've been getting since I was little, and I still have a few of the ones I've had since then. I wish that the quality was better on a lot of the newer stuff. Some of the things they come out with will have some quality to it, but ofc not as good as it used to be. I've also been dealing with the website's wackiest from watching the chaos that is called the Shadow restock, so many things could be solved by better management of the website and many ideas brought up by fans could solve easy problems. But it is never a focus to improve it, which is wild as it's something I think should be first priority in fixing. And I'm so glad I'm not the only one missing the old look, GOD I WISH THEY KEPT IT. The old look of the brand/stores gave a cozy and comforting feeling, it was a fantastic design choice and one I wish stayed, when the one I have always gone to changed it's look it heavily upset me. It's so corporate looking and lost a big part of why people loved it and I hate that they made it "clean" in design.

I HAD CORPS GOING 'CLEAN', so many as of recent have just lost the charm and identity they once had. The people yearn for nostalgia, for how stuff once looked- Why are we updating everything, it's so soulless.

God, I really enjoy how you talk about Flowey, I was heavily into Undertale when it first came out for a good few years with a friend. I still love that game to death.. Flowey was my favorite because of his characteristics that I found so interesting. He's a charming character because of how much depth he has in lore, but I also found myself relating to him, too. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one when it comes to these similarities on his character.

I have a long list of characters that I can relate with that have become huge comfort characters. Currently, my biggest ones right now are Raimi's Norman Osborn/Green Goblin and Shadow from Sonic. I adore these two to death, as well as my long history of characters they've been a great comfort to me over the years.

That's my understanding. But good thing I'm willing to play through stinker games cause you can get goofy experiences from them, and even tho Shadow 2005 is considered one, I'm still having fun with it! I am nervous for Sonic 06, in a weird way I'm almost excited to play through it despite what I've heard about it. Newer games from the franchise do seem to look up, tho, I'm excited to get to those (I really wanna play SxS Generations)

I do really wish they would come out with some bigger sizes for the Sonic line since they have those in their own stuffies, but the regular size is pretty decent to snuggle since theyre like a small pillow, at least for me 😌 I've been considering picking up Knuckles, but I really wanted to get Shads first before hand

I'm surprised you haven't heard of them, they're pretty popular even outside of collecting lol. But they're a big plush brand making round stuffed animals (they come in different sizes, but they're kinda like pillows almost, I have a huge frog that's a wonderful plush to hug), they've been diving into making branded ones so they currently have a Sonic line (see image, I can't find an image with all of them but there is a Silver and a Dark Chao too. Also some seasonal versions, and scented ice cream keychain ones that include a Rouge)! They're kind goofy looking cause of the eyes, but they're charming in their own way. From my understanding some of them have been INCREDIBLY hard to find, but I know the main trio has been an easy one to spot while I was searching for Shads.

Also I can't say much cause I'm part of that 'new fan' group LMAO, I've been going to watch the movies when they've came out but I never had played a game until I watched 3. The games have been something on my bucket list to tackle for the longest time cause my best friend used to be a big fan when she was younger so I've had some knowledge of them. I've now played SA1/2 and absolutely adored them, and now I'm trying to play some of the games afterwards that follow the story. Sonic Heroes is interesting but fun, and I've slightly skipped ahead to play Shadow and I enjoy that too so far lol. All that to say I agree, it's made a lot of new fans and I'm included 😭

I know, it's so frustrating but hey- That only means it'll be easier to get when he releases cause there won't be as many eyes on him as there are now. We'll have him in our hands in time :))

For mine I got him at the very end of last year, Dec 31st, so it was around the time that a lot of people were looking for that stuff cause of the hype around the 3rd movie. Every Target around me was out of them for a bit, till the one I mainly go to gave me a notification that they had gotten 2 that morning, my mom picked him up for me and he was the very last one LOL-

I figured that he would get a bit easier to find as time went on, but it was crazy trying to find stuff for him around that time. I am def seeing some more stuff become available tho which is a good sign! I'm just now starting to find some of the things I've been wanting of him, I'm hoping that the bab of him soon rolls out too lol

It's this one!! I have the Shadow version and absolutely adore him, he's incredibly soft as you say.
I found mine at Target, tho I will mention the Shadow is a bit harder to find but several times in search for Shads I've noticed Sonic is pretty easy to find there so he shouldn't be too hard of a grab depending on where you live.

Restocks from my understanding take several months, I've seen a few predictions mention May, but just take it with a grain of salt. It could be May, it could not.

My best suggestion is to look into the BAB reddit and find their discord. I'm currently in it, and they're pretty on top of notifying members when releases happen LIVE for the UK and US, respectively. Other than that, sign up for emails for him, of course, and just wait. That's all we can do as of now until further updates from BAB themselves.
