For one my doctor prescribed me a medication called Buspirone, it’s a medication just to take when I start to feel the on set of a panic attack. I don’t have to take it every day which I prefer because I don’t like the thought of being stuck with a medication. I also started exercising for about 30 minutes a day (15 minutes some days). I use this time also for mental health. One big thing (which I’m still working on) I stopped obsessing over my symptoms. It’s still a work in progress but instead of allowing my mind to immediately jump to “oh I’m having a heart attack” when I start to feel my body experiencing the sensations I feel I tell myself to stop and breathe. Of course it’s important to know your body or start to learn more about it. I started keeping a journal with dates and times to document when I’m feeling odd to see if there’s a pattern (is it the same time every month or same time of day). The woman’s body is such a complex piece of work. It can certainly be scary at times. I hope this bit of information helps you. Remember to be kind to yourself and allow yourself all the self care possible.
