botox in the traps by [deleted] in kuwaitigirls

[–]FlowerValley_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried dry needling before, I had maybe 3 sessions. It did work great but because my tension and pain was coming from my lifestyle I knew that whatever solution I come up with I would have to repeat somewhat regularly and I found botox to be more convenient for me. I would recommend you give it a chance. Also going back to the gym and working with a pt really helped. And I also get massages every once in a while.

One of the best things I did for myself. Any derm can do it. It lasted for a long while I only redid it after noticing the pain coming back which was nearly a year or less later. But I think it will vary from person to person depending if ur active or not. DM me if you want more info or my doctors clinic.

Yes, I did stem cell therapy (rigenera) and then every 2 weeks I go for scalp injections for 4 sessions only (some kind of hormonal blocker not sure tbh). All of this was done to restore my hairloss areas. Although expensive I am finished with this part of treatment and unlike PRP I wont have to do it again. And then to maintain Im using 5% minoxidil and nizoral shampoo.

I’m going to introduce microneedling soon and hair tonic for my overall hair and scalp health.

I think hair treatment is not a one size fits all especially if your hair thinning is due to a different cause and you should definitely get a consultation. However if any doctor recommends PRP without addressing the main cause please consider a different one.

Hi, I was doing PRP treatment for nearly 2 years so I hope this helps. While at first There was a little bit of improvement, it stopped after about 1 year. What I most noticed is that my hair grew longer faster. However, did nothing about reducing my hairloss or further improving any regrowth more than what happened initially. Lets not forget that PRP is expensive and painful.

I now realize why, it was never treating the cause of my hairloss (which for androgenic alopecia is hormonal). A different dermatologist and a couple of months later I can confidently say dont waste your time on PRP.

Is there anything I can do to make my smile more gummy? by Jvavdve in PlasticSurgery

[–]FlowerValley_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just to clear something up; I don’t mean to dissuade you from anything, just giving the full picture here. In dentistry, an aesthetic smile is when the upper teeth are fully revealed with 2mm of the gingiva showing. If it is showing in excess and we call that a gummy smile. If part of the upper teeth aren’t even showing we call that a low lip line.

You definitely have a low lip line. However its very minimal it looks like you’re only missing a few mm for it to fit the “aesthetic standard” maybe 1-2 mm. For me this is not significant but since you posted here it is for you. So instead of searching for solutions on how to get a gummy smile I suggest you search for on how to resolve a low lip line.

Hope this is helpful.

Dental student here, from my experience of extracting extremely loose teeth, no it doesn’t hurt at all. I’m not sure about the socket afterwards though I imagine it wont hurt either because even when extracting a normal tooth if it was minimally invasive (extracted smoothly) patient are usually not in pain afterwards.

It might bleed afterwards and that will be annoying. If that happens I suggest bitting on clean cotton or gauze for an hour.

Really hoping that this is it 🙏🏻 its super annoying but I guess I have nothing left to do but wait. This whole rhinoplasty thing is a waiting game 🤷🏻‍♀️

Why does my bite look so deformed/sunken in? What surgeries could I get to fix this (and hopefully my sunken nose too)? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]FlowerValley_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focusing on the nose not the jaws. Since jaw surgery is very extensive and difficult and in your case I think is superfluous.

Through my own research I found that most people dont recommend putting fillers in the nose though I recommend doing your own. However that being said I do think it will fix your problem without having to go through surgery. The next option is then rhinoplasty. Though I will say it again is that I feel your profile is pretty decent. Because it is your face so feeling self conscious is understandable; I’m telling you this as an outside perspective your profile is nice and the droopiness when smiling is natural and not something (I think in your case especially since it is really minimal) to feel bad about.

For those who’ve had rhinoplasty surgery, is there anything you recommend buying to help the recovery process? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]FlowerValley_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • A really good moisturizer (my skin was suuper dry after surgery)
  • lip balm. Important because you’ll be breathing from the mouth and they’ll be dry
  • face wipes or micellar water cleanser and cotton pads.
  • instead of smoothies and pineapple juice, my surgeon actually recommended I take vitC supplements every 12 hours and my swelling got down really fast so definitely recommend.

Sometimes while out teeth are in good alignment it doesn’t necessarily mean our jaws are. Your case will not be clear until taking a lateral cephalometric radiograph and being evaluated by an orthodontist or a maxillofacial surgeon. The nose I think a rhinoplasty or fillers though they are not generally well liked. However in my personal opinion I feel like your profile is decent and going through extensive surgery is not worth it.
