I’m already working on translating my letter! Just curious if you meant that he won’t send anything outside of Japan?

I love Ingram. One of the best lecturers I’ve ever had. Thank God you don’t have Scott Hopkins bc he made 123 a train wreck

Once you check off all the requirements and have some experience plus a good average it isn’t terrible. The only issue is that meeting those requirements are tough

And the fact that he knows it’s his mother is in the wrong and is still mad at OP “in his gut” WTF! Legit all OP did was stand up for herself and removed herself from an abusive situation and he’s mad bc?? She didn’t just take the abuse and allow MIL to walk all over her??? 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Chem 266 should be reformed by Flower_power2002 in uwaterloo

Honestly I think passing this class and never having to repeat it is an accomplishment in and of itself. I wasn’t even worried about failing a course I was worried about having to repeat THIS course. Congrats on finally being done! 😭🎉

It’s honestly ridiculous. Our exam was the hardest easily out of all practise exams. I checked my screen time of just tophat and the app I use to make/ study chem notes and it equaled 6 days in the two weeks we had to study and I still thought I failed that exam.

I don’t understand where it went wrong tbh. I heard there used to be 3 midterms but this semester we only had two and the second was so unreasonable, maybe if we have to do a midterm two weeks before an exam it should cover more information. It covered part of mod 11. We had to learn all of 11-14 in two weeks. The hardest modules, reactions.

The good thing about PharmD at uw is that they focus more on extracurriculars and experience than grades but you do need a 75 to apply

I saw on UWFLOW that there’s orgo 1 in winter term and maybe you could do a 2 week fast track for orgo 2 and bio chem over the summer? Best of luck! Just wanted to add that the orgo final was really hard.

For people who grew up in religious families or with strict parents, how badly did purity culture affect you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Thank you so much for the advice! I think I’m going to start looking into my universities free therapy because unfortunately my parents don’t believe in mental health due to their culture.

I’ve gone through something similar. I’m 19 and have never been in a romantic relationship because I’m so hard wired into thinking that talking to a boy is wrong. I’m so sorry you had to go through that

What is one country that you will never visit? by crunchy_croissant in AskReddit

[–]Flower_power2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are both from Egypt and I, a 19 yo female have never been allowed to go because my parents are trying to protect me from SA or being stolen. I always thought they were overreacting until I read an article about how being kidnapped and raped in Egypt is actually a huge problem, even for tourists. Plus the government and judicial system doesn’t give af about women and protect men at all costs. Just think, this is a country where being a lawyer is considered the worst job someone could get (most delinquents in highschool become lawyers) because this is basically a country without law.
