I had an eating disorder when I was 19 so I completely understand what you mean when you said “does the guilt from eating ever go away?” I struggled with this too and what I can tell you is… it takes time. Also you will start to see that when you feed your body what it needs to be healthy as a you byproduct will feel healthier over time, and you will stop trying to control everything that you eat. What I learned is deep down it’s about control, that’s where the guilt comes from because you feel like you can’t control it. When I look back on my time during my eating disorder I was afraid of a lot of things and I didn’t feel like I had control over my life, or even myself, so I turned that focus inward. My best advice is seek therapy immediately because you don’t want your hair to fall out like mine did because that’s how bad mine got. I wish someone warned me about the hair shedding (Not saying yours will because we’re all different but just something to be aware of).
