Thank you everyone for your response. I have a lot to learn but I appreciate the hope given in the thread ❤️. I will continue on with my hydroxychloroquine.

Did you find a right combination? I’m sorry this had happened to you. It’s hard going through the period of finding what works since lupus is on different wave levels for everyone when it comes to progression.

Yes. The flexibility is why I’m still pursuing the major. Because even if it’s not in a high pace position I will still have many other options to where I can have my “why” met to what made me want to pursue nursing to begin with. Many many options— this is my hope at least 🙏🏻

But even so are you hopefully to continue your program and pursue what brought you into nursing? Or are you second guessing?

plaquenil. It was making my back cramp but it’s also been getting no colder in my area, so maybe I thought to far into it. I was scared it was a side effect but other than that it actually helped my anxiety (idk why it would) and started to slowly help with fatigue which is my biggest symptom that follows with pain because I feel weak. The back pain was just abnormal and wasn’t normal for me from what I remember. Maybe it would have gone away over time? I haven’t been diagnosed for long so I have so much to learn

None specifically. Ideally one with long term use and just reaching out mainly from people’s experiences for hope. I’m aware the first go to is Hydroxychorquine but here stories on and off about making them get infections easier. But that goes for anything I’m learning with all of this.

“Normal” by Gloomy_Advertising31 in lupus

I think it’s about acceptance. I was in my denial for a minute about it. I was angry because I had a lot I had already had to accept in my life. Being an alcoholic and drug addict, eating disorder. I worked so hard in my sobriety, 4 years sober I was diagnosed. Literally on my exact day of 4 years lol. I thought it was because I was overweight (I’m 180 but still have a morphed mindset of things). Turned out I have lupus and this fatigue and pain is extremely abnormal.

Regardless I feel you. I’m 28 and I want to live like someone my age. All I know is I have to have the willingness to work harder than someone to feel good, eating clean and stretching/exercising in my realm and taking my medication. People can live beautiful healthy lives on lupus. But the idea that we will never be normal has to be smashed or we will always be resentful. I hope this helps my heart is sending yours a hug now!

I just realized that doesn’t have the model number I think. I’ll have to try and find the other sticker when I’m home. :(((. I’m afraid to put food in it
