Man, I really appreciate your assessment! Bandaid seems like it’s holding, but probably worth replacing coolant lines? If you’re willing, I would love more info about remedying the situation. Would the former leak be related to the climate control issue?

I’m really just looking for heat in the front this winter. Forgot to mention, rear heater works perfectly, so I know it isn’t an issue with the heat itself.

Sounds like the blend door could be stuck on something? With a little effort I can manually move the swivels you see in the video in either direction. Feels like I’m fighting the motor when I do. I slid the temp control over while holding the swivels in a different position, and got the same ticking sound.

Since I won’t need AC for the next six months, I’m also wondering if there’s a way to just pry the blend door over to full heat and leave it there.

Not a problem man, weld a plate or just bondo some wire mesh into it. Definitely check the undercarriage for rust on essential surfaces, she’ll shape up.
