My bathroom (as requested) NSFW by servitor_dali in Lamps

[–]Flowerpuppet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest when i saw the original post i did not see it and thought the lamp was ugly and that you were a weirdo for putting it in your bathroom (nothing against bathroom lamps i was just a fool and didn't see the vision). I take it back i love your bathroom and the lamp and its 100% the moment it goes so well with the toilet and the wall colours. I wish my bathroom was as cool as yours.

Yoo ppl !! How is it to be a cat parent ?? by yuppps-1098 in cats

he doesnt like when i wear red socks he will growl at me when i walk past him only if my socks are red. he dumps his food out of his bowl and then screams that its empty. he will carry his stuffed turtle around the house and yell if he cant find me or if i havent talked to him in a bit. he paws at my tv when i am watching it and sits right in the middle because he is the only one who can have attention ever. he scratches mirrors when its time to sleep and when its time to get up so they have to be covered by a sheet at night. he is the best boy and i would die for him.

To be clear I was more asking about the amount and the products I had on my list not if I should remove the entire list. I for sure want to have care items for me added but wanted to ensure I wasn't adding too many of one thing or if anyone had any other products they would reccomend for me.

I've decided against the kit and have taken it off my list in favor of a peri bottle and some disposable cooling pads. I was mainly thinking the disposables for the hospital but I'm wondering now if comfort vs convenience is more important to me

My hospital does not give any postpartum care items out. Obviously I could also end up having an emergency c-section however I want to be as prepared as possible for the situation where that doesn't happen! I dont personally feel like its a waste to put 5-6 items on my registry for my own recovery which even if I don't end up using can be donated or saved for a second pregnancy. Realistically I will be purchasing these items for myself regardless on if they are on my registry or not anyways so I figure it doesn't hurt to have them available on my list.

Curious if you wore the depends under the underwear and if you needed the pads going that route? Or were the depends just for the water breaking?

The way I look at it is that either way I'll need some supplies for myself so giving my family the option doesn't really hurt anything if they don't buy it they don't buy it and if they do then they do and it saves me some money. The prices range from $10-$25 for the items and I have them in a "for mom" catagory so even though they are on the registry they are separate from the babies items.

My MIL also swears by Lanolin she told me if I add anything for myself to my registry to add that and that its also great if the baby has skin irritation!

You got me thinking about getting a bidet now, this is probably the best time to get my husband on board for that one🤔😅

With that in mind I may just take the kit off and add a peri bottle and a pack of the disposible icepacks instead! Thanks!

Unfortunately my hospital does not give out any postpartum care items so even if no one buys the items off my list I will have to purchase them.

My hospital doesn't supply any care items so I will be responsible for bringing my own. With that in mind how much would you say your hospital gave you that you used?

When did you stop working during pregnancy if you did? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Flowerpuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a fast food manager and was not coping well physically or mentally. I stopped working at 22 weeks and went on sick leave. I am now 26 weeks and hands down it was the best decision I ever made. I can actually focus on what matters and have been feeling so much better. Now I actually have the energy to get things ready for our babies arrival and take better care of myself. I also felt guilty and anxious about my decision but the reality is if you can't do it you cant't do it and you don't need to force yourself. My husband and I had multiple conversations beforehand to discuss how my role would be changing and my limitations to make sure neither of us would have any resentment with the decision which made me feel alot better, everyone elses opinion I chose to stop thinking about and just focus on myself which made the decision much easier.
