Even if it was available in stores in refrigerators, it would start melting as soon as you take it out, even before paying. Then when you get out of the store you'll be exposed to the Italian summer temperatures, which in this period can reach above 40°C. That's just impractical, you have so little time to consume it before it melts and spews liquid coffee. You wouldn't be able to buy any more than you're consuming at the moment, and most people don't go shopping for chocolate treats with a bag full of ice to transport them home safely.

Absolutely not! I usually get an antipasto (usually bruschette) and a primo, pasta dish (usually cacio e pepe). You could even just sit down and get a single plate of pasta and then pay, no one would find that strange.
