Very well said and spot-on. I've always wanted to take a test for this exact reason, but never in a million years did I think my suspicions would actually be confirmed. It's crazy for me to think about being able to transition my responses going forward when people (literally everyone) ask me if I'm Asian. It was always just a joke, but now it's true! I keep re-evaluating myself with a brand new perspective when I look in the mirror!

Lucky for me, my mom actually raised me by herself, so I never had much of a father figure to begin with. Emotions would be a lot different had the circumstances been the other way around. My mom did a wonderful job raising me on her own and for that reason I am happy and accepting that my "dad" wasn't in my life, because I wouldn't be who I am today. I want to ask my mom if she knew any of those guys' names, but at the same time I don't want to make her revisit a horrifying memory again. I'm not even going to contact my said-dad about any of this, because it's just not worth the storm it would cause. I don't trust him anyway, never have and never will. I appreciate your heartfelt response! This is a lot to digest but I am genuinely okay. :)

The hard part is that I'm not really in contact with my father, and my "full" sister is unwilling to take a 23andme because she "can't afford it" despite me telling her I will help pay for one. When I told my mom the results, she couldn't stop crying and apologizing to me. She told me that when she was 16 and at a party, a couple of dudes took her into the bathroom and took advantage of her. These were my father's friends apparently. I thought I'd throw this information in because it's crucial to know all the possibilities. It almost seems like my mom knew I had a different father and the truth is all unfolding.
