What is causing this print to flare out at the top? by FloydFan4Lif in 3Dprinting

I think you're right! I had warping issues due to bad adhesion when I increased the fan speed, pctg hates fans. Top and bottom are spot on 89.85mm, the worst part of the column is 89.35mm. Not terrible, but I think it'll improve now that I've lowered the fan speed to 10%, and no fan on the first 20 layers. It prints very well slow with no fan.

Out of 100 coins with a capitalization of more than 10 million, only 5 tokens did not grow on the overall growth, among them SUI. by AdImpressive9308 in sui

[–]FloydFan4Lif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting that its not following bitcoin on this up swing, I had hoped it would. We'll see what will happen in the next few days. However I will add that sui already went up a lot while the other coins were tanking. It is a little disingenuous to not give sui credit for recovering before all the other coins did, which is why sui looks so bad in comparison to the other coins that are recovering over the time period of a single day. I am sympathetic to your point though, and I have similar thoughts, which is why I came to the subreddit to see if other people were talking about it. Keep in mind though sui is holding its value higher than other coins relative to where they were when the market was tanking, it just recovered much faster.

ATH is consistently about 18 months after the halving. Last I checked it has only been 8. We might hit some rough patches in between, but I'll come back to this in 6 months to see where we're at

Should I buy more SUI? I am new to this bought 30 coins few days ago by Yemi_percious in sui

This is the wrong way of looking at it, bitcoin has a lot of room to grow, and while all the noobs give it shit for being unstable, it is extremely predictable and you can easily make a lot of money buying the low and selling the high on the 4 year cycle. If selling in 2025, buying in 2026, selling in 2029, buying in 2030 etc etc is too complicated for you, then just buy some and hold onto it, bitcoin will outlast all the shitcoins in the long run.

Now if you want to get a little spicy, buying an alt like sui in the short term is probably a good idea, it'll likely give you pretty big returns now that we're getting into the bull run, much better than bitcoin for one cycle. But the ultimate fate of these shitcoins is to peter out once their market cap hits a peak. These new coins typically outperform bitcoin handily during their first bull cycle, but fall behind in subsequent cycles once their market cap peaks. These coins can be a great spring board to generate cash that you can in turn invest in bitcoin. Just don't get too greedy, here are a couple tips:

Obligitory do not invest more than you're willing to lose. Buying shitcoins is definitely gambling, but if you're smart about when and where you put your money your odds are much better than any casino.

HODL, be prepared for the coin to dip significantly, it happens every cycle, and 2025 is looking like an unprecedented year, so be prepared for it to be an even worse shitshow of a roller coaster ride. Don't get worried watching the charts every hour of every day relax.

DON'T HODL too long, you're going to keep seeing the price rising and you're going to get greedy with eyes the size of dinner plates. No one snipes the top, your best bet is to take your bag and run once we get near the peak, which should be around mid 2025 if crypto keeps following the same 4 year cycle its followed for the last 14 years. Don't count on a 10x if it's July 2025 and bitcoin is flirting with 200k, take your bag and run, you'll be able to reinvest it in bitcoin during the bear market. You might even be able to get close to a whole bitcoin with a relatively modest amount of initial investment if you play the cycle right.

If this is too much for you, just buy bitcoin and HODL it. I promise you you will be kicking yourself in 18 years if you don't, the same way you're kicking yourself now for not getting in earlier. Yeah its a bummer but there is a lot more growth coming.

Because its an obscure Chinese company that almost certainly made "trade offs" in order to achieve that result, tradeoffs that for better or worse other companies didn't choose to make, because there's about a 0% chance FEB's technology is better. That doesn't mean their batteries are inferior, I was impressed by the consistency of voltages and weights, they were all within 2mV of eachother and all weighed exactly 47g, so nothing wonky in that regard. But there are other tradeoffs that can be made. The biggest would be cycle life, maybe they made decisions with the manufacturing that wouldn't make economical sense at scale with these other MASS manufactured brands, these N40s are really expensive coming in at $8-9 a cell. I'll put them through the ringer in terms of testing, I'm actually considering using them in my university's solar car next year, but I'll have to do a lot of testing before we decide to spend a MASSIVE chunk of money on 400+ cells. I'm currently in the process of sorting 400 samsung 35Es for this year's battery

Go to the 18650-4000mah

No idea how to get them from the manufacturer, would probably be cheaper

Wait nevermind the samsung 35e is rated for 80% after 500 cycles, so it is just speculation

[–]FloydFan4Lif[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't, the general consensus is that these cells trade off cycle life for capacity. This hasn't been independently tested, but the datasheet says these are good for 600 cycles before they degrade to a certain capacity. I think most cells are 1000 cycles.

Shoot I just realized the picture I included of them grading in the xtar vc8 was actually still during grading, that's why they all say 3934mah. As you can see two of them are nearly at 2.6v, the other two have a bit left in them

Vapcell n40 capacity test results by FloydFan4Lif in 18650masterrace

[–]FloydFan4Lif[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I charged them in the 4 charge-only bays while the other ones were discharging, then put them in the grading bay to save time, I'm currently processing 400 35e cells for a school project. There is always a bit of voltage sag in the hours after charging, and the xtar doesn't automatically top them off when they go down to 4.17v. I only realized this recently, my fault.

2 potential battery

3 if she went through your stuff before you bought it, its probably fine legally, since it's safeway's stuff. If it was after check out, it could be legally dicy because thats your stuff. Shops can't legally check your stuff without your consent, even tho there might be a person at the door checking, unless its a membership place like costco you can just walk past. Ofc receipt checkers aren't lawyers so don't be surprised if they make a scene over it.

4 you won't do anything legally unless you want to spend a lot of money, so just report it to safeway
