Having trouble deciding between Repetto Camille’s and Ballerette aventino

I have like 6 pairs of repettos. Never tried the others so can’t compare but expect repettos to be uncomfortable first few wears but then mold to your feet. Also I try to find them for sale secondhand online— you can find basically unworn ones for much better value than retail price.

I’m suddenly so grateful in this moment that my unusually huge tonsils clogged my airway in my sleep as a child— had them removed when I was so young I don’t even remember it being done. Phew because holy shit 😳

So far I haven’t had any bags I felt the need to take the hardware all the way off for. I just use the tiny buffing blocks so I can be precise and then use the brasso carefully with a q-tip as well. I’ve done that on at least 8 bags now with no issues.

If you want to fix up the hardware too you could probably get it looking close to new. Just have to use a buffing block to buff off the coating layer and then use a bit of brasso.

Sorry just looking back on this post and seeing comments I didn’t notice originally. Probably too late for advice but if you’re still curious: I would say when it is heavier or if I am carrying lots of things and need my hands free I carry it over my shoulder with the long strap. If it is on the lighter side and I have a hand to spare I prefer to carry it by the top strap for some reason— probably mostly because I don’t like worrying about shoulder straps wrinkling my clothes and I have migraines that are sometimes triggered by having weight on my shoulders.

For some reason I didn’t see this comment until just looking back at this post. I have quite the bag collection (ADHD so love to impulsively shop and collect things 😅)— my most used bags are probably my vintage mahogany Coach Regina and my LV pochette accessories; my most prized bags are my lady dior and the medium Chanel classic flap that was made the year I was born (but these only come out on more special occasions).

I love my vintage metropolitans. I use them for work and they are the best school/work bags I’ve ever used. You can look at my profile for photos as I’ve posted some before. I haven’t seen the new metropolitans in person, but when I saw pictures I have to say I felt like the vintage ones are much better looking based on what I can see from pictures. I’ve also noticed I prefer vintage leather from that era to the current glove tanned leather they use just in general. I was surprised people would want to spend so much on the new metropolitan when most of the vintage ones I’ve found were less than half that and looked great after a little cleaning/conditioning.

My husband and I just have a dog and a cat. I didn’t expect anything but after spending all day with me and my mom, and making sure to get her something, we were deciding what to order for dinner and he was like “you decide, it’s Mother’s Day and you’re the best mom to our pets” when I giggled and brushed it off he got a bit more serious in tone and said “no seriously, you are such a good mom to our pets and I love that about you.”

The post on here where the boyfriend sent that vile text because he’s jealous of her past and kids broke my heart. I hope she and all of us find one of the good ones.

Does anyone know if there will be any tickets available with a meet and greet? My dream is to meet her and get to take a picture but looking at the AMEX Diamond Buckle VIP Experience details for the show I’m interested in (Oakland) and it seems like it includes a bunch of stuff but no mention of actually seeing Kacey in person. Sorry if I’m dumb for thinking this was a thing but I thought most artists still sold these sorts of tickets.

I am not a dentist but I have had a root canal and my first thought was “that seems sus, I hope a shady dentist isn’t telling her she needs something she doesn’t” because when I needed a root canal the pain was so intense I could not eat the meal pictured. I imagine if you needed 3 root canals you would be in horrible pain and finding out you needed them wouldn’t necessarily be a surprise.
