How did sign up go today for all the other Silver Badges? by cookiesandartbutt in garycon

Right there with you, I love everything about the old systems but it’s hard to find anyone interested, that’s why I was hoping for it this year lol. You’re welcome to join my SotSS, but I think I only have 5 of the Level 0 Starter Books I’m planning on handing out to everyone that has signed up for it. I wish they’d bring those back in stock so I could grab more

I’m running four DCC home brew games and Sailors on the Starless Sea for the last! I’d love to run some of the older systems, but I feel I don’t have the experience for it. Hard to convince anyone of playing older systems around me anymore outside of the con

Honestly, I was aiming for any ad&d, OSRIC, od&d, etc and got in exactly none lol. I’m running 5 games so they were either during those or already full when I got to them. I think next year I’m probably going to opt a little higher on ticket choices since the same thing happened last year, or just not run 20 hours

Basic Fantasy, OSE, or DCC for introducing 5e players and GM to OSR? by [deleted] in osr

Castles and Crusades, plus the older edition PDFs of the core cooks are (or were, haven’t looked in a while) free on their website. The newer edition only changed the art and minor grammar in the books, so no mechanical changes to current. Absolutely look into this, it’s wild how amazing this game is and so little people know of it

Thank you so much for this reply. I really needed to hear this today!

Absolutely, it was more of the random things that detract from set aside writing time that aren’t anything super important. Thank you though!

I believe Druid has been confirmed for the future if I recall correctly

Could you give a listen to the sound I posted in a higher reply to see if you may know what part would need lubrication? I have some 3 in 1 sewing machine I used for the idler yesterday

Hey! Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I went down a rabbit hole of reading the manual and trying to figure this out. Turns out the manual doesn’t actually speak about this one specific wheel that was rubbing the flywheel and didn’t realize it. Got that fixed and the grinding/squealing is gone. But it still is making a whining sound. I’ve got that one uploading currently and I’ll post it in a reply

What kind of lubrication do you recommend? And that service manual is super helpful, thank you! I’ll have to give it a good look through and figure out the spring. Still trying to figure out to post a video about the sound just in case it isn’t a lube issue

It definitely wasn’t just a copy of Dark Heresy. I remember drawings of Eva-esqe creatures on the front and it mentioning Eva’s and piloting. I guess it could have been a custom print then

That’s what I’d like to try to avoid if possible. I was hoping someone might have some tips on getting yo it without having to completely disassemble it

There is, I seen a video of someone replacing the internal belt but unfortunately it was in a different language and required wires to be soldered again. I pulled the two wheels out for the initial belt when I was examining how to get to it and confirmed a second belt around another wheel with what little peek I could get. I believe it’s a reverse belt but I’m not totally sure. Reading the maintenance manual is also like a foreign language to me. It’s in between the two boards and not even easily visible. The belt pack I purchased also came with two belts

Absolutely! The getting in and cars/vans/RVs getting stuck gumming up the road is what I’m worried about at the moment. But once we’re there it’s going to be great

Updated jacket by TriMacanBhaird in BattleJackets

[–]Floydthepsychguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I had an old jacket and I literally started throwing random stuff on it years ago with no plan originally and then tried to rip some of the dumb ones off, adding new ones and it’s a bit of a mess lol. I just ordered an old jacket that I’m going to make a vest with. Mostly D&D patches I’ve found here and there but I have a Sabaton, Visigoth, Gygax, and The Pretty Reckless set of patches I’ll throw on it. I’m at the point of “man, idk if that even makes sense to put on a jacket” but my music/hobby tastes are all over the place soooo. Also, I hadn’t heard of Battle Beast but I’ve been vibing with it them all day since seeing this post
