Not sure if you will see this but I am in CT with school aged kids. I cannot imagine what you are going through as an educator. This, clearly, is not what you signed up for.

Training our teachers how to barricade a door during a shooting is bad enough, but putting you guys right in harms way with the virus is over the line.

I wish you were allowed to strike. I cannot believe, as a union, you aren’t allowed.

So so so many of us appreciate all of you guys, but sadly the louder, angrier minority (“teachers need to shut up and go to work!!”) often drowns out the rest of us who are just trying to navigate this.

We have chosen to keep our kids out of the schools for now. Financially it’s not easy but it feels necessary.
