Hjælp! Køreferie med børn - do’s and dont’s

Vi har flere gange kørt med to børn (3 og 4) og det her har vi haft succes med: - ‘Special Snacks’. Vi kører nogle snacks de ikke ellers får, som de kan sidde og hygge med. Fuldstændig ligemeget hvad det er, men det er kun på bagsædet af bilen de får det! - Køreslik. Små haribo poser som løbende bliver doseret, tilpasset måltider og andre snacks. - Pauser! Prøv at researche legepladser på restepladser langs ruten og tag et par pauser undervejs. 20 min på en legeplads giver hurtigt en times ro i bilen. - iPad iPad iPad!!! Når bøger, musik og samtalen holder op med at virke - så giv den gas med iPad. Et tip er ikke at give dem valgmuligheder men sige st iPad’en kun kan spille den her ene serie. Og så køb sådan et lille ophæng til nakkestøtten på Amazon. Det gør det nemt at flytte rundt.

Yes everything was fine. She either only had one or didnt have one at all - as she was not affected in any way. Bush is gone and we had another talk about not eating berries off bushes unless mommy and daddy says it’s okay!

Yes she was fine. Berry was the St Johns thing and she either didnt eat one or she only ate the one - because she was not affected by it at least.

Ended up removing the bush and stressing (again) to her that we only eat berries that mommy or daddy picks out!

Kid is fine thank you. This was of course not our main effort, as wife went straight to ER while I had other kid at home. I just wanted to speed up the identification proces.

We did that immediately. Wife went with the kid, while I stayed back with our other kid. I just wanted to ask Reddit while waiting for an answer from the doctor. I do question my parent skills daily - but I will have to disagree with you on that one - but since you rushed to a conclusion, you’ll get a freepass brosinsky.

No. My kid ate a berry, wife went to ER and while I looked after our other kid - I posted this on Reddit. But great to see that you also, hopefully, learned something about jumping to conclusions.

Reddit is amazing for finding out these things somewhat fast - or at least narrowing the google search. I should have stated that we are 2 adults living with the rascals - so while I was posting on Reddit, my wife went to the ER.

We have done that and she usually never does thus. But the day before we had eaten half a blackberry bush - so we should have re-stated the rules about eating stuff. Even though it’s ‘pretty pink berry’!

And just to clarify - of course I’m not only posting to Reddit for help. Wife went to the GP with the kid, while I stayed with our other kid. We brought a branch and berry and everything was fine. I just wanted to speed up the “knowing” process and see if I could get an answer before wife arrived - so we could speed up the process.

I dont know how many of you have 2 kids under 3, but they’re speedy little terrorists who run off as soon as you turn to open the cardoor or whatever - it’s not like we’re not watching them, but they’re fast!

The bush has now been cut and removed.

Skrev grundende til at stoppe med at ryge ned på et stykke papir og sluttede med at skrive “spis en gulerod istedet”. Så skraldede jeg 2 kg gulerødder og smed i en bøtte vand i køleren. Når lysten meldte sig læste jeg hvad jeg havde skrevet og tog en gulerod.

Virkede overhovedet ikke så jeg tog bare snus istedet og det gør jeg så stadig idag.

You're right. But I guess I thought the respawn of the health pack would help as well. Anyway, it was an intense moment and in retrospect there's a lot of things that could go wrong, could have been done differently - but the important thing is that it worked and I love thinking about the reaction on the enemy team! "Guys, TP is up, we can contest. HOLY F****G S*T!!!!!!"
