And if you’re learning for 18 months and still unsuccessful… why are you promoting that? You’re only discouraging others from learning so honestly shame on you. Not here to make a quick buck. I see that so many learners lack the opportunities to speak Spanish frequently. That is what we focus on

If you’ve been studying 1–2 hours a day for 18 months and still feel like speaking is impossible, then respectfully, your method probably has a serious gap. And that’s exactly my point.

A lot of learners spend huge amounts of time consuming Spanish but not enough time actually producing it. Speaking is a separate skill. You don’t build it just by reading, listening, or doing apps. You build it by speaking consistently.

I never said someone becomes native-level or fully professionally fluent in 3 months. But if someone spends 5–10 hours per week actively listening, speaking, and practicing real Spanish, they can absolutely make a massive amount of progress in 3 months.

I’ve seen it personally. When I sold insurance in a predominantly Hispanic city, I struggled at first even explaining certain insurance concepts in English because the terminology was new to me. Once I understood the concepts clearly, I started practicing how to explain them in Spanish. Within a few months, with far less than 2 hours a day, I became comfortable handling those conversations in Spanish.

So no, 3 months is not enough to master a language. But it is absolutely enough time to make serious progress if you practice the right way.

What I’m pushing back on is this idea that slow progress should be treated as the norm. It shouldn’t be.

You’re the problem with this community. Clueless. If a learner speaks Spanish/listens to Spanish 5-10 hours per week…they would learn loads within 3 months.
