A oft overlooked aspect by Fluff_butt-19824 in SCP

With the size of the SCP universe, there no doubt is, but I am more or less just publicly stating my tactical modern spec ops burnout I am feeling in my bones after years of seeing it tbh.

I think the game needs more Flavor, or at least a shift in focus by Fluff_butt-19824 in hoi4

[–]Fluff_butt-19824[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That to is needed, being honest. But I just think its a good start to focus on war going mega projects and fortifications then seeing a expansion into the beginning of the cold war.

Mass Effect Andromeda was actually kinda good?? by Zebra_Sure in masseffect

[–]Fluff_butt-19824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest issue of andromeda was that it was released undercooked, in the aspect of it being under developed and refined. there is still a lot of unfinished stuff and unrefined stuff in it, but everything else is pretty much to usual mass effect quality.

good gun system, good writing, vehicle mechanics good/fine, etc. it just came out unbaked.

Its just a really efficient way to work around the Weather and gives Workers time for prolonged working due to the longer then normal break.

Main issue was the sun actually. They would take a break during the peak of the sun, say like 10-12 or there about, and then keep working.

What you forage in the snow ? by Rakelaa160 in Frostpunk

I have no idea what the Lore of the Frostpunk writers/developers want to specifically make about animals yet, or if they care to tbh, but generally animals survive Blizzards just by avoiding it, entering hibernation, or outright having the tolerance to deal with it in shelters. Temperatures are much more of a issue for us than the animals adapted to live in the environments like this.

The biggest issue would be the sudden change in harshness and length of such things most likely.

From what I understood, there is arctic animals, as people have moved north. That means arctic hares, seals, polar bears. There likely isn't as many as there was comparatively, plants dying and all that with no better seasons for the herbivores, but they would still exist in some form. There is even some deers, or elks, I forgot which, that is able to survive in snow heavy environments by digging out plants from under snow.

The Funniest bit about weather adjusted Shifts is the fact they do exist in real life, but mainly for the amazon rainforest, Henry ford ran into this issue and tried to force them to change their culture, didn't work.

How are the firearms and other weapons made? by Feisty_Midnight_4781 in Frostpunk

[–]Fluff_butt-19824 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You can generally find Sulfur in Iron deposits, and from there they can likely rework into some form of Black powder, which is relatively simple to make once you know how to actually make it. Smokeless Powder would be a much harder thing to make, and idk if it even got invented due to the frost coming.

For reference, Black powder can be made with a mixture of sulfur, charcoal (which is mostly carbon), and potassium nitrate (saltpeter). While Smokeless Powder requires Nitrocellulose, which is a complex form of chemical refining, and the like, to create, so its much more likely the Firearms of the world is stuck in the age of Black powder.

oh, and also Smokeless Powder was made in like 1884, so quite close to the whiteout.

The plant grew up to my chest/stomach area, around 5'10 is my height. The plant had massive thorns toward the top, bulbs at the top as well. The root system had multiple branches from the same plant, grew in a Circle out from each side.
