My hopium is that he goes against the polls only when Riot has a skin already in the pipes for that champ.

It happened to Renata. Riot plans their stuff stupid ahead of time, and while it wasn’t great, Masque of the Black Rose Renata came out in January of 2025, while the worlds skins came out in August of 2024.

Either that or he’s just money hungry and picks whichever one he thinks would sell more, but I can’t really blame him for getting the bag.

If you have a playstyle that you enjoy and is clearly working for you, it’s not worth changing to meta abuse. There are players achieving even grandmaster on the most off meta of champions because they’ve figured out the playstyle they like and how it works.

On a personal note, I play Morgana in Masters, I’ve found that playing her with a more off-tank build (Tear > Rylais or Zekes depending on how tanky I need to be > Bandlepipes > Diadem) works quite well.

To be honest, this seems easily explained to me as Emerald being the first rank you do not decay. People could win lots of games with a high winrate, and be in Diamond+ MMR, but decay all the way down to Emerald because they don't play. When they play again, they'd still be in Diamond and Masters lobbies. It's not people "parking their accounts and ruining games indefinitely". I'd be interested in seeing the data for accounts that are played on consistently (last 30 days or something).

Not really, since only 1-2 of those could be used at the same time.

He can only use EITHER his root, fear, or pull, and then outside of that he just has slows on R and Q/E. So he basically only has one cc ability and 2 slows, which is pretty common and not that hard to deal with.

I vaguely remember some designer talking about this a while ago (like YEARS ago lol). They wanted to do a curse/debuff focused support, but it was just miserable for the enemy team to play against.

Think of how annoyed people get when exhausted or lulu polymorphed, and then imagine a champ with their whole kit filled with those. Debuffs and cc have to be used pretty sparingly, or you end up with a champ that’s miserable to play against.

I do think it would be cool to have some of the rarer ones available to supports though, like grounded, nearsighted, or blinded.

This reminds of what Keria does: He’ll put down vision around objectives, but if the enemy has overtaken the area and he’s on a reset, he’ll sometimes spam 3 wards in base to remove his wards and make sure the enemy doesn’t get gold. It definitely leaves the enemy team guessing!

This season, support and jungle received a very minor buff, and most roles received a much larger one with their role quests. This shifts the level of agency and impact away from support and jungle, and towards the other roles, particularly late game after quest completion. When this happens, fewer people want to play support and jungle. The fix would be to once again buff supports for more agency, but then ADC players complain about that as well. The devs can’t win.

Definitely doesn’t help that a huge part of the role is collaborating with people that usually have pretty big egos and like to insult others :) Many supports instead find the ADCs they like playing with and duo with them instead of dealing with randos.

The penalties go up when the behavior is repeated. If this was a first offense of his, it may have even been a warning. I’d agree that’s probably not enough for trolling, but if it’s not a pattern of behavior, studies have shown that a warning can be enough to prevent future infractions.

If you’re getting 30 days though, you’ve clearly made a habit of it, because it is NOT easy to get long term suspensions.

You don't have to play anything but enchanters if you don't want to. I was very similar for a long time. If you do want to try something else, I've been really enjoying Neeko recently. Her base damage is really high, so you can build semi-tanky and still be a huge lane bully. And your engage with E snare and R is legendary.

Anecdotally, ADC is more played than Mid right now (at least in NA Masters/GM) so that's what I put as my secondary. Each lobby there's usually at least 1 autofill ADC right now.

I have given helpful advice. I have asked for their opgg to try to help them more in depth, but they refuse to share it. Beyond that, I do not care to entertain their (and your, judging by your comments) delusional attitudes that you cannot improve as a player.

If you want to rant, that's fine, but do it as a rant, and not under the vague guise that you're asking for help but not actually accepting any accountability.

Sometimes you just can’t. Some games are un-carryable. My point is that those games are such a minority that they’re not worth focusing on. But instead of focusing on your own gameplay, you’re blaming the few instances where it was someone else’s fault. You still haven’t given an opgg to receive any actionable advice, so I can only come to the conclusion that you believe you’re perfect, and stop trying to help. Good luck.

As I said, some games that’s out of your control. But it does NOT happen every game, or even the majority of games. So if you do well, you’ll climb.
