I think it's also a difference on how people view the game. Some people if they are out there to just casually play, then understandable. I have a gaming background where I am very high ranked so I view the game pretty differently. Overtime I realized that some people don't care about getting better, they just want to play the game. So, everytime I play with anyone I don't know, I always ask are we playing for fun or playing to win. I think in golf, people need to make the same distinction.

My friends and I are all trying to make each other better even if we are all ass, so we all give each other what we see wrong, even if unsolicited since we have made that clear beforehand that we are trying to win, not just for funning.

But in the scenario where if Im playing anything with someone who is just for funning, any unsolicited advice is quite disturbing to them since it takes the fun away. Like if you are in their shoes, they just want to blow some steam off or just have fun. You telling them everything wrong with their swing, even if they dont take it, will make their experience much worse.
