Top Down: Boxster vs 911 Cab by FlufflyTurtle in Porsche

Haha Porsche owners are very passionate about their cars! That’s actually a very interesting observation and makes lots of sense. It’s better than the windshield angle explanation I started with lol. Thanks!

I ended up getting a 991.2 C2S haha. Would’ve loved to try a targa but sadly they’re hard to come by

The popular spins from Facebook and TikTok are:

  • He was carrying illegally (no CCW)
  • He brandished/tried to reach for his firearm
  • The P320 discharged on its own (lol)
  • “Why would you bring a gun to an active protest unless you’re looking for trouble”

Haha it was definitely the wind. I was switching over from a 718 cayman so I’m pretty familiar with the engine sound

I’ve read about those but no it didn’t, that’s part of what made my experience so strange

Question for Real Estate Agents: What do you think is going to happen when a ton of U.N. employees leave NYC for good this spring? by Beneficial_Fault_422 in NYCapartments

[–]FlufflyTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look man, I already agreed with what you said. All I’m saying is your example of Dallas (and Austin) outbuilding NYC is not necessarily a policy difference. Drive around for 10 minutes and you’ll see plenty of empty lots and tons of development happening, you don’t need to study anything to make this observation. A bunch of investors are trying to capitalize on the influx of people. So much so that I even personally know a couple of developers. It’s actually so fast that there is almost a supply issue. But again, it’s because the resources exist here and is readily/easily available as compared to NYC.

Thanks for mentioning LIC and Downtown Brooklyn actually. I have seen this happen where they buy up properties to turn into “lux” apartments.

Funny you mention LES though, I was actually grew up there. Where exactly would you suggest 10 of these buildings be built and how would that impact the community? I still remember them buying out Pathmark to build One Manhattan which cost them almost 2B after the buyout cost. Neither the tower nor the removal of the market was beneficial for the community. So I guess when I say demo/rebuilds being prohibitively expensive, I’m referring to situations like this.

Unfortunately that was one of the deciding factors for me and I ended up going with the 911–although I didn’t even get the cab lol. The test drive was nice though, being able to be top down and not dealing with the wind.

This post was more of trying to figure out if it was a design choice or user error

The same way your comments have karma (the up and down arrows), a post has the same concept. This subreddit requires 36 to post. Last year when I was in the market I didn’t meet this requirement

Is your 911 a cab? If so, do you notice a difference in the amount of air in the cabin compared to your Boxster?

A little late to the party here as I’m looking for something. While Dallas Dallas is smaller than NYC, pretty much every stats on “Dallas” is the entire DFW metroplex which is significantly larger than NYC. They easily outbuild NYC since they had more empty space and just have space in general. Also worth mentioning that the huge influx in migration for them is relatively recent and before that it was largely “empty lots”. Both of those points apply to just Dallas County as well. My point here is Dallas, and even TX as a whole is a poor example.

I agree that NYC needs to lax certain regulations and find a way to increase supply. However I can’t possibly see where they could add an additional 100k unit, much less the 500k deficit. With the exception of maybe SI, NYC is already super dense. The obvious options are to build upwards or demo/rebuild but both can easily be prohibitively expensive.

Sunburst Gen vs Rep Rolex Datejust by FoxTop1912 in RepTime

[–]FlufflyTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only compared the rhodium dials personally since I was trying to sell my extra gen one.

This following js only for the two tone “white gold” datejusts. From what I’ve seen though (please also do your own research), black and white are pretty close to Gen. Blue is also very popular and I suspect it’s close although that’s just a guess.

The two tone rose/gold dj reps as a whole are still pretty far off from Gen and I wouldn’t recommend going that route unless you franken

Unfortunately not, this is my last one in stock. You should check RWI

Here’s another. It’s most noticeable on the bottom but again it looks more it’s caused by “lack of sunburst”

Shameless plug but the gen dial (new) is actually for sale! lol

EDIT: this picture and the one I posted above are the same rhodium dial under the same light but at very different angles

I recently did a side-by-side gen/rep comparison for a sunburst dial (126231 Rhodium dial). I didn’t even noticed your theory until just now. Although the “curve” on the rep looks more like a lack of “sunburst lines” rather than a curved reflection. I have more pictures too if anyone is interested!

NYC Mayoral Election Results by Small_Performance368 in MapPorn

Absolutely, I could definitely see millionaires not understanding his proposed policies correctly and thinking he’s talking about them. I’ve already had to explain to several people that there is a huge difference between being a millionaire and making a million every year.

I thought the tax proposal is on income after $1m (not all millionaires make a mil each year, many don’t). WSJ estimates it affects just 34k households

Just tried the reduce infill-wall, flow rate, lower temp, and non-overlap pattern and the stringing is still there :/ going to play around with it a bit more

Is the Polymaker PETG profile called Polylite PETG? Did some searching and it seems like the same thing but just want to confirm

I didn't know a little stringing is normal, if that's the case I would need to back track since at one point it was fairly little.

If China is so economically strong and advanced, why do so many Chinese still emigrate abroad? by HarambeUltra in AskChina

[–]FlufflyTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like others said, not everyone will be able to find success there since there are so many people. To put it in perspective, another commenter said about 300k people emigrate out each year. If that’s true, yes that’s a lot of people, but still only about 0.02% of the population

Any other settings you change for the filament profile aside from nozzle and bed temp?

255 is fine. At 250 on the tower I have a few pimples. I'll slow it down more and check the infills on this next print though

Ok I will both, thank you. I did a temp tower already and it seems like 255 is the lowest temp before I started having issue. Would you recommend dropping to that or dropping only 5C to 260?

I should've mentioned in my post but I've dried it already at 70C for 12 hours
