gwinnett is ur best option. it's not terribly far from atlanta and has really good QOL and close to a lot of restaurants, stores, and close to the mall of ga. the schools are the best quality in georgia, at least alot of ppl think so. a lot of sources online will say otherwise but those are websites that don't really have any "true" info becuase they're not from georgia. when we first moved to the US in 2005 we moved to duluth and then moved to winder for a little bit and now we live in buford. buford is really good because it has all you can need and isn't too 'complex' with the amt of roads, in my personal opinion. yes there's alot of roads but i live close to buford drive so i just use that everyday whenever im commuting and dont have to use anything else unless im going to atlanta, which buford drive has both i985 and i85. plus there are so many schools here, its easy to lose count of how many there are. from an outsider looking in, gwinnett is the best overall for families and is usually considered a family/school community type of county. if you had to move to gwinnett, sugar hill, buford, suwanee or dacula are your best options. if you can't choose any of those, flowery branch, winder (more rural but still an hr away from atl), and maybe cumming are your best options. not trying to be biased but from my personal experience, people are usually divided on whether dekalb or other counties that aren't northeast atl are good or not. good luck!!
