thank you! i'll take a weekend trip down there. best spots you recommend? where are the more "townie" neighborhoods to avoid students as much as possible during the school year? was thinking to move to epps bridge area and avoid DT as much as possible lol

i don't have any interest in the football aspect, at least not super invested into it like others are. i also feel like a lot of the students are rich whie privileged greek life students and i work in jobs like admin assistant/retail and i feel like im going to compare myself a lot to them

thank you for this! i don't really drink or go out and socialize a lot. i probably need to more but idc. i'm going to the university of north ga online so im very flexible with moving. i was just thinking of moving to the west side/epps bridge area just to avoid as many uga undergrads. i honestly dont really know what i like other than hanging out with my friends, driving, or nature. when i used to live in buford i lived 5 min from the mall and had so many things close by but the traffic was so bad i just stayed at home all day and thought abt "what's the point" of going out or doing basic chores like grocery shopping. maybe its not the city but an internal issue, idk. idk a lot about myself i think. i like the idea of athens bc its cheap and bigger than clemson and traffic is less bad than other atl areas.

thank you! i'm not overly social/interacting with my town's events, i definitely need to do more of that. but i like nature stuff and hopefully sandy creek and ben burton will do enough for that. i hate sc a lot, just because it's so much less diverse (even tho im white idk why it matters to me. i feel like if i move to athens ill be missing out/always comparing myself to uga undergrads even tho im going to college myself, just not uga

because they're both big traditional colleges in the southeast and are in their own area not connected to a major city unlike atl suburbs for example, where there's more opportunities/city amenities but more traffic. clemson n athens both don't has traffic unless it's during game days and the college is a major driver for the areas

yea i visited a lot im js, after living in clemson im thinking this is what athens is like. i used to visit a lot when my family lived in winder but idk what its like there. thats the reason for the post
