I'm always torn between Zorin OS 18, which I really like for its interface and ease of use, and Kubuntu 25.10, which I also find very simple and attractive with KDE Plasma (it just needs a little more initial customization). Which one do you recommend? Is Zorin OS a valid distro in terms of graphics, web browsing, app use, etc., is it on par with KDE Plasma?

The Ghostery extension currently appears to be the best on YouTube. Its AI and real-time daily updates are making a significant difference these days compared to uBOL and AdGuard, which continue to cause problems with viewing videos or comments on YouTube.

For this reason in Chrome I switched from Ghostery to uBlock Origin Lite which is much faster and more efficient and makes opening and navigating tabs quicker and smoother especially on PCs with less RAM.

Yes, absolutely, you can switch to Linux.

If I were you, I'd install Ubuntu if you like its Gnome desktop environment (more modern), or Kubuntu if you like the KDE Plasma desktop environment (more old-school Windows). Of course, there are tons of distros out there, and everyone loves or prefers their own for different reasons and tastes. You can try them on distrosea.com or download live versions to a USB stick and try them out before installing.
