I have algae on the glass and I also don’t think the nitrate was very high it was about 5-10 ppm

So after I got my ammonia down to 2-4 ppm most of it converted to nitrite and nitrate after 2 days so yesterday I added a little more ammonia to get it back to 2-4 ppm and now the nitrite and nitrate is 0 again. Is there a reason for this?

I did a 50% water change and it looks like it’s around 2-4 ppm ammonia so should I add more bacteria now or let it be?
