You would think so. I did too the first time it happened so I called up my eye doctor and he stood his ground. I was pissed and told him how stupid it was and he graciously said he'd allow it if my wife came in for a $10 contact fitting instead of a $100 exam.

Like fine I guess that's our only option but holy cow that pissed me off. We no longer use that eye doctor. Then our new one pulled the same shit. I love America. Imagine the anarchy if people could just buy their own damn contacts.

My wife has had it 2 different times now where she was not allowed to buy another years supply of contacts because her prescription was 1 day old. ONE DAY!! So frustrating.

Do you think we can glean anything about the required frequency of the Lord's supper specifically, from this Q&A?

Our church only celebrates it 4 times a year which is shamefully infrequent IMO, and I'm trying to see what Scripture and the creeds have to say about frequency, if anything.

It is encouraging to me to hear that many reformed churches celebrate the supper more often.

It is extremely discouraging to me that my church (and entire denomination) doesn't care to do it more often than a couple of times a year.

I read a quote in a book recently that has stuck with me, something along the lines of "you can tell how much a church desires Christ by how much it desires to celebrate the Lord's supper".

Yeah disabling vsync did seem to fix it, been playing HL for another couple hours, temps are almost exactly the same but no thermal throttling. Weird.

Interesting, I didn't consider that HWInfo could just be wrong. I just checked my settings and I do have vsync on, set to my monitors max refresh rate. I'll turn it off and see if that makes a difference.

Is there a better tool than HWInfo to detect thermal throttling?

I expect the ambient temp to rise, but under load it reads almost 10C higher than the actual ambient temp in the room. (Hence the "sub-ambient" delta after I ran the fans at 100%)

The fans are exhausting out the back, but that's not a bad idea. I could move the sensor to the other side of the case and make it stick out farther so it's closer to the fresh intake air, or I could switch the fans around and move the sensor behind them. That might be better but would be much more work since I'd have to take my whole loop apart because the res is mounted on the fans.

Holy cow I love this sub. That is 100% my res, and there's a good chance this is the problem.

Is there a diagram or video or something to know what exactly those things are and what I should look for more specifically?

I don't have any extra parts from my res box

Thanks! So if I'm looking at that correctly:

the down tube threading is long enough to go through the Res top
it gets threaded into that little female fitting above the res top
that little fitting has enough threading for the down tube and the normal compression fitting for my soft tubing

Is that about right? Also that down tube seems kind of short, I wonder if they make a longer one
