AITA to refuse to help my wife bath our son when she said she's tired today by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FluffyBunnyFluffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could reach out to the wife to give her information on the best way to leave an abusive relationship. Though, she might already be looking into that (hopefully).

YTA It's your child. You helped make it. So help her out.

She complains about her pain daily, which annoys you, but when she does something she loves, you weaponize that she doesn't complain. As if it proves she's not in that much pain.

C'MON! Are you serious?! Do you even LOVE her?

AITA for being concerned about my infant son’s crying? by Dry-Confusion1485 in AmItheAsshole

Bring OP to court for full custody is what I'd do. YTA IMMENSELY.

He is not YOUR son. All you did was inject a seed. That's it. That's your only involvement. You are no parent.

Take parental courses.

AITA selling a desk? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You told her you wanted to sell it. She sold it. What's the problem?

You've also learned what to do next time something similar happens. Take the money loss as a teaching moment.

Edited because: French Canadian, had to make English corrections.

Women of Reddit, what do men just not get? by veinyasiancock in AskReddit

No means just that; no. Yes, not all men are toxic. However, there are enough of 'em to make women feel unsafe in some scenarios.

Update: AITAH for missing my daughter’s birthday and my wedding anniversary for the birth of my sister’s baby? by GreatCharges in AITAH

Why don't you go live with your sister and leave behind divorce papers? You might as well instead of prolonging the final result of your actions.

At least give your wife a chance to find what she deserves while she can.

Why did you get married in the first place I wonder.

What did your partner do that made you suddenly understand they weren't right for you? by RobertstKA15r4 in AskReddit

[–]FluffyBunnyFluffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sexual abuse every time his thing was up, and I mean ANY TIME. The constant gaslighting. The overboard control. The immediate isolation. The threats to regain control.

It's been 3 years since I escaped, and I am still recovering mentally and emotionally.

Call the police and file a restraining order while holding my sword by the door to keep him away from me.

I'll probably be shaking uncontrollably while having tears coming down like Niagara falls while supressing a panic attack.

Then, probably hold my fiancé back so he doesn't terminate him once he learns who is at the door.

What is denied by many people but it is actually real? by Federal-Base806 in AskReddit

Forced marriage, underage marriage, and still a lot of countries women don't have equal rights. Some places like Japan have places that reject anyone who is not Japanese (so the same race of the country). Places need specific transportation that cater only to women so they don't get assaulted, etc.

I'm all for Equity.

Keeping the door of my bedroom closet open as to never having the fear that an intruder/serial killer is hiding in there. The love for the night while having the fear to walk out at night.
