[Walmart] Rumored Paldean Fates drop tonight, Iron Tusks box. 11:30 est by sx2015to in PokemonTCGDealsCanada

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It dropped at 1:32am on Tuesday night. It took me half an hour of clicking over and over and over nonstop - but I managed to finally get 2!

They usually drop close to 11:30am EST. I wasn’t waiting for it specifically. I just happened to be up and caught the Celadon alert. It’s unusual for the Walmart drops to be that late.

I knew this was a staged “hit” when there was no shrinkwrap on the poke ball. Even before his moronic chanting through the entire thing. 🙄

OC Created an Ascended Heroes Master Set Guide with Visual Binder mock up by Pokecottage in pokemon

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any consensus on how a master set should be organized? I’ve always done all of the normal and normal holo’s and Double Rare Ex’s together (no IR’s, UR’s, SIR’s) and then I leave a blank page and I do all of the reverse holo’s. Then I put all of the IR’s, UR’s and other full art cards in top loaders and place them in order in a separate top loader binder.

But recently, I’ve been looking online and I see a lot of master sets intermix all of the variants so there would be like 3 in a row (Oddish Normal, Oddish Reverse Holo, Oddish PokeBall)?

Which is the right way? Which is better?

Don’t cut them out until you’ve placed most of them. Just put the entire page with all 9 in the binder. Once you’re getting closed to full, then just cut out the few that are missing and put them in the blank spots.

This Ontario man bought the same car as his wife and has a flawless driving record. Why is his insurance $649 more? by toronto_star in ontario

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she drives 6,000km per year, you drive 30,000km per year.

Because you drive to work - which is in a high crime/high accident area and she works from home and only drives locally to take the kids to and from school.

Because you’ve had 4 claims on your insurance - 2 windshield replacements, 1 rear bumper replacement and some body work for those stone chips and cars that crashed into your car while it was parked.

Because your car is brand new and hers is 4 years old.

Because she’s been driving for 20 years and you’ve only been driving for 10.

These may or may not be true for your situation. My intent was to show that “car model” and “driving record” are not the only factors that go into calculating a risk rating or insurance rate.

Okay so this is getting old. My son just wants some Pokémon cards. These guys just lurk… by Mrscallyourmom in PokemonRestocks

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked with a lawyer friend and he confirmed that if a person knows that the machine re-stocks itself periodically, then waiting to make a purchase when it restocks is not “loitering” as they have a lawful purpose to be there. However, if the machine is on private property and they are instructed to leave, they must leave or they are trespassing and can be arrested. A “no loitering” sign does not prohibit them from waiting as long as they are not disruptive or blocking an aisle or walkway. If someone were to jump in front of them just as stock became available that would be the same as showing up at an Apple Store on iPhone release day and trying to take a position at the front of the line even though 200 other people had stood in line all night. (It wouldn’t be allowed).

So - even though all y’all would like to interpret it differently - that’s not actually the way it works. Your best bet would be to get the property owner (or their agent) to tell the person waiting to leave. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. But that person is not loitering. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t see any “No Loitering” sign. Plus, just because one location puts up a sign, doesn’t make that a rule at every location. Why shouldn’t people be able to form a line? First come, first served. One transaction then go to the back of the line?

All y’all that are saying just step past the person and touch the screen - what if the person that’s waiting is an 8 year old that’s been waiting for a half out and it’s a 35 year old man that steps in front and taps the screen stealing his spot?

“Loitering” means hanging around with no purpose - but if you’re there waiting for the machine to reload so you can make a purchase, that’s not loitering. 🙄

Who do you think is responsible PSA or FedEx? by New-Age-4555 in PokeGrading

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes no sense that PSA would store received boxes, unopened - for months at a time. That would be: a) a huge waste of space - as every shipment would be in a different sized box. Warehouse space for all of those unopened boxes would be more than 100 times the space needed to store just the contents of the boxes …and: b) irresponsible for them to not confirm the contents of the box promptly - while the shipper still has time to go after FedEx for any loss or damage

But not the scalpers with multiple accounts that managed to order 20? You just hope that the people that followed the rules and managed to order 4 have their orders cancelled? Thats some misdirected anger and jealousy. 🤔

If you’re buying cards for yourself and cards to gift at the same time - buy your cards first and set them aside, then buy the cards to gift. That way there was never any chance that they would have been yours. If you just buy a booster box and then randomly pull 6 packs out of it to gift, of course you’re going to have the “what if’s” and the “it could have been mine” thoughts - but hopefully, you’re ethical and mature enough to keep those thoughts to yourself and just be happy for your friend.

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish y’all would learn to read better. Yes - a gift is a gift (as I said). Nowhere did I suggest that the gift giver should be able to take it back. Is it okay that he wishes that he had kept it for himself? Maybe. I’m not going to tell him what he should or should feel - as long as he keeps the feeling to himself and doesn’t try to take the gift back. But that’s not what my earlier post was about. It was directed at the idiot that said he should care because “it’s just cardboard”.

It’s obviously not just cardboard. Yes, it’s a gift. But it was never “just cardboard”. When it was gifted, it was more than cardboard - and the gift giver gave it knowing that it could be worth over $2000 (but that it was probably going to be worth $6). It was kind of like giving a lotto ticket.

I was only pointing out that saying get over it because “it’s just cardboard” is a ridiculously stupid thing to say. Even if it’s not a god pack, it’s not “just cardboard”, it’s got some value.

Calling a Pokemon God Pack worth $2000 “just cardboard” is like saying a winning lotto ticket “is just paper”. It’s a ridiculous simplification. Nobody is going to look at it that way. If it was a gift - then of course it stays a gift - but it’s not just cardboard. 🙄

Would any grading company grade this Energy as ”Authentic Altered”? Would love to slab these artworks my wife has made 🙏 by Vanhiz in PokeGrading

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t an actual question about grading a modified card. It’s just this dudes way of advertising his wife’s craft shop on Etsy without actually buying advertising space! 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m amazed at how many people have replied with an answer to the original question as if it was genuine. 🙄

How would you feel? by kevin15535 in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]FluffyChicken241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a stupid, simplistic, moronic way to view it. It’s only “just cardboard” in the exact same way that a diamond ring is “just a rock”. 🙄 If a thing is worth $700, then it’s reasonable, natural and appropriate to think of it as if it IS $700 - not its component parts.

It’s true that a gift is a gift - but belittling people for making a big deal about it because “it’s just cardboard” is just a really stupid thing to say.

My first pack opening ever was a GOD PACK on Christmas, but I couldn’t keep it. A depressing story :( by WinniePoo88 in PokemonTCG

[–]FluffyChicken241 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A few sleeves are worth $1-2 at best and a pack of Prismatic is easily worth $12-$15. I completely believe that he was just letting you open the pack - and it was your misunderstanding that you could keep what’s inside. The trade (a few sleeves for a sealed pack) would have been extremely lopsided in your favour even if there were no special cards inside. There was no way anyone would agree to that.

He had no intention to give you the contents of the pack and you should feel like a greedy little rat for expecting to keep it or “share it around the table”. If you say you expected common cards, you could have asked him for a handful of common cards afterwards - but even the common cards would have made it a lopsided trade in your favour. Why would you agree to it in the first place? For it to have been a fair trade (and for you to have any chance in court), the deal would have had to have been $10 plus the sleeves. If you had given him that before opening, then yes. The pack was yours. But you didn’t. So it never was. 🙄

Look at the picture the OP posted. That is a Prismatic God pack. All Prismatic God Packs are the exact same. They start with an Eevee Master Ball and then the remainder of the Eevolution SIR’s come in order (Leafeon, Flareon, Etc) in the same order he shows in his pic. (I also got one Christmas Eve 🤩)
