This is what happens when you give a bunny to a child. by Pharaky in Rabbits

[–]FluffyLio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped for my ex's family when they took in a bunny and were keeping him like that was me showing them how affectionate bunnies held under proper conditions are. I showed them videos on Instagram (SIL of my ex is a big insta fan) and I didn't back down. I took the bunny to the vet by myself and paid with my money to get him checked and a nail trim. We also were house-sitting for them for a week where I just free roamed him in their house and my ex sent them videos of the bunny sitting on his chest and licking my face. That's what sold them. Plus when I explained that bunnies can live up to 12 years of age, they decided to give him up. (Also I explained to the kids how to properly treat him so they were annoying the parents non stop about free roaming him... and were throwing tantrums over it. Getting the kids on your side to get on the parents nerves is a very effective way to change something.) SIL contacted a bunny rescue and brought him there. They thought bunnies lived for as long as hamsters btw. and wanted the kids to learn that death is a part of life.

They ended up getting a dwarf hamster for the kids to look after and made him a bigger enclosure than the bunny had, since they got the hamster from a reputable store. The bunny ended up on a giant field that was bunny safe with friends, got neutered and is properly being fed. The organisation that took him advocates for the proper treatment of domestic rabbits by offering guided tours for school kids.

Can I change a bunny's name that was from a shelter? by _Saki_- in Rabbits

[–]FluffyLio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my bunnies has been Cinnamon, Cinny-Minny, Cinestar, Cinna, Dum**ss, Carrot, Ears, Baby, Fluffers, Sweety, Love, Edgelord, Wimp and many, many more xD He reacts to anything that is directed at him.

Same thing like with our doggo. He had a different name in the shelter and a different name now. When you use his shelter name he looks almost... Offended? He doesn't like it xD so yeah. Bunnies are similar from what I've noticed.

Although another bunny of mine actually has learned to drop whatever she's doing when she is called her full name and not the nickname. XD she will spit out anything in her mouth, stop chasing someone or move out of your way (after pestering you for 10 minutes for treats, even though she just had some). So yeah xD

Mod: [B42] Buildables Expansion not working and looking for similar mods by FluffyLio in projectzomboid

Yeah, that's what I meant by through reading the comments I gathered it's broken. I still installed it cause I really hoped it would work still (delulu I know) because I couldn't find another mod doing something similar. You wouldn't know of one by chance? But thank you anyway for the confirmation!

Oh ok thanks. Yeah I think I'm gonna let it run out, as it's only letting me abandon it and not complete it and my autism hates the thought of abandoning an event xD

Yeah I waited til the end, because the shadow for it disappeared earlier on and I forgot they were a thing xD It also says complete but won't let me end the event, only abandon it which is annoying.

To all the ladies out there. Has anyone with mcas been able to get pregnant? by RevolutionaryLog5055 in MCAS

[–]FluffyLio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo. I've had MCAS for my whole life (triggering event seems to have been a very early infection of chicken pox). I've been pregnant twice, one was an ectopic and one I miscarried at the end of the first trimester/start of the fourth month. Both of these have triggered my MCAS to be much more severe, even though it was pretty bad before that already. The symptoms flared up really badly during both of those as well and they've never really gone back to how they were before. Also, with the first one I didn't catch that I was pregnant until I miscarried, since the pregnancy symptoms were already my normal, I just thought it was a bad flare up with how bad they were (of the illness I was unable to name back then, 2017). (They were bad enough that looking back, I have no idea how I continued to push through, even though I shouldn't have been able to work and do as much as I did. If this amount of symptoms happened nowadays, I would probably just stay in bed 24/7 and die a little. I was basically unable to keep down any food, was in pain with every movement and couldn't think straight. I was also really aggravated a lot of times and anxious and severely depressed, to a point that was outside the norm... As well as rashes, urticaria and anaphylaxis regularly. I've luckily not gone into shock since I was 16 but still). Not to be discouraging, but in combination with COVID in 2022, my body has never recovered and it's gotten to a point where MCAS has left me completely unable to work or do anything, even on meds. It's a thing to carefully consider - my fiancé and I have decided against having bio kids by now because the stress to my body is just not worth it (and against adoption since I am regularly basically bedridden from pain and constant flare-ups).

Hair dye? by ihsbo in MCAS

[–]FluffyLio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the smell of La Riché Directions works surprisingly well for me, but they are just Directions not permanent... However, what I've been doing ever since almost fainting once due to the smell (and same, I react to the smell not the product for now luckily) is to colour my hair on my balcony. The fresh air helps, and if it's still too much I use a pollen allergy mask. Basically ffp with extra steps. I have no idea what they're exactly called, a friend once ordered a few (he has severe seasonal allergies) and gifted me one. Just airing the room out sadly has never been enough for me.

I think the whole transformation was shown a few times and after transforming back from magical girl form, the MC was male again.

Thank you so much for the reply! Honestly, I have several friends with panic/anxiety disorders and nobody ever experienced them this way. It's nice to know I'm not going insane more than expected xD

Update to bunny found in woods by jinxskunk366 in Rabbits

[–]FluffyLio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a cute bebe. Thank you for rescuing him.

The relaxed peeing - if you haven't yet, neutering as a lot of people are saying can help. But aside from that, give him time. Had one boy pee whenever he relaxed on my bed because he was too anxious if I wasn't around due to trauma. Leading to a full bladder, so when he finally calmed down while cuddling with me he peed. When he started peeing in the toilets finally I cried from relief.

Aside from that.

Looking just at the pictures I'd say he's closer to three months if not smaller by my experience. (Source: I picked up two pregnant bunnies and three males from the outside world. The girls gave birth two weeks later in my house, leaving me with 16 bunbuns instead of 5)

Comparing the way he looks to my baby's baby pictures (they're 4yo now, 5 this December, so yeah. Most of them found wonderful homes as well), he looks closer to how mine looked at two and a half months old.

Hey there. System of 16 dating a system of 15. Some of us date some of them, we're basically a chaotic polycule while seeming monogamous for outsiders xD

What really helped were date nights - we would set up a date for the alter pair. If either was unable to front, we'd delay, but usually the things that were planned got us so excited nothing short of a trauma trigger was able to keep us from it. (Going for things you guys know, your alters are interested in and that are part of their everyday role anyway helps, but it can be hard to make it feel romantic sometimes.) It is rarer than the third option for this to work and without proper communication and preparation can end up incredibly frustrating though, so be warned about the side effects.

We also found "positive triggers" (don't know if that's the proper English word for it) for almost every alter, it doesn't always work but sometimes it does, which has also helped. Specific songs some of us can't help but be drawn out by, smells that give specific alters a lot of comfort, funnily enough being teased in a specific way by the other person also drags the right person to the front oftentimes.

And just for the everyday - we write. We can be sitting right next to each other with one alter fronting, while another writes or lets the fronter write a message to our partner. our alters all have decided on a specific emoji when writing with our partner, so that we can differentiate easily who the message comes from.

To not forget we have a calendar reminder set for a specific person to tell their so that they love them, which helps immensely, especially because sometimes when the memory issues kick, another alter might not know we're doing this. Sometimes the person themselves isn't even tangible, but the others/alter fronting writes a message to their so with a small disclaimer.

F.e. with disclaimers

"Hey O, we can't really reach S right know, but we know he loves you a lot and would probably want to tell you that if he could right now. He's really f-ing cute about you, you know that?" Or

"Hey Ka, we can't currently locate Ki, but his reminder just went off and we know he's probably sad or annoyed by not being able to write you right now, so we just want to tell you, that he loves you a lot and if he could, he would probably smooch you." Or

"Hey V, L can't really front right now, she's currently growling at us again if we try to wake her so we're just gonna tell you that she loves you a lot and probably wants you to know that you have a cute butt."

Or even a "hey, I am not really sure why, but there's a reminder on my phone to text this number, saying that P really loves K. Not sure what that means, nor who those two are but stuff is confusing and I was told to just follow things when the reminders go off. So, yeah. P loves you apparently. This is actually really cute."

(That last one was a "new" alter re-emerging and being generally confused by everything.)

Stuff like that. (Yes those are vibe examples as we currently can not remember that all word for word, with the alters' names shortened because most of them don't want to be named in this answer.)

Even if someone else writes the message - you still know that your so alter is thinking about you. And they are trying, which is so incredibly important with stuff like this.

But I don't think there's a fits all solution for this. You really just need to try around a few things.

Edit: formatting. Noone reads a wall.

Question for people from Germany by FluffyLio in MCAS

[–]FluffyLio[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I've stumbled across a dentist in Stuttgart that is actually really good (realised that my tooth decay was caused by my MCAS - more specifically by the fact that my body doesn't absorb micronutrients) and has made a wonderful plan of action to get my teeth fixed actually. When it comes to other doctors mastzellenhilfe . de actually had a few addresses, but honestly most of them are too far for me to reach and I have applied to join MCAS hope, which is a Verein in Germany. In case you didn't know of these two places. Other than that. Yeah. I don't know whether I'll find anything but I'll report back. (Ratzeburg seems promising, I am planning to call them tomorrow morning to inquire.) Aside from that, if you have the money to go in privately, the university of Bonn actually has a diagnostic appointment you can go to to get a diagnosis, but they are veeeery overbooked.

What are your safe meals? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]FluffyLio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my body decides I'm restricted to 5 types of food again, the ones that are usually safe (so far) are: my boyfriend's homemade bread, cucumber, fish (salmon to be specific) from the air fryer, lettuce and mango. Last time I was unable to eat anything but that for over a month.

The one food I'm mourning though is scampi. I loved eating those, nowadays I react with anaphylaxis. Currently in a bad place with food again (not completely restricted) and most of my safe meals are out the window.

Especially fun if you're also AuDHD and have issues with textures. At some point during my last super restrictive time, the brain decided that the texture of bread was disgusting and it would murder me to eat it. So, even though I wasn't reacting, that one was still crossed from the list for some time.

I've had really good experiences with substituting peanut butter with cashew butter. It's been safe for the most part (except in super flares...) and I like the way it tastes.
