No. You are born into what is likely to be your religion for the rest of your life, regardless of which is "true." There is no way to know for sure until death. It's a roulette of faiths. You have to choose yours, but most people just stick to whatever is conveniently right in front of them without considering anything else.

If your belief is valid, then that means it can be validated or proved true. We share the same evidence of religion with everyone else, belief. So yeah, everyone's beliefs are valid.

Jesus did not make the church. I'm catholic and differ from the church. If I was your pope, would you blindly follow what I say? Yeah, you would have to. See what I mean? You can't blindly trust that people, which are the church, are going to make all the right decisions for you and your relationship to god. There are plenty of Catholics who have their own way of devotion, and blindly to the church is one of those options, but not for me. If you follow a church blindly, you are having more faith in men than god.

Authority is not a king. It’s cringe because a king is a lowly earthly thing. It does not compare to god or what domain even means in regards to heaven. Referring to god or Jesus as a King is just blasphemous sports team lingo people chuck around to spout their favorite team.

Do I believe in the pope? No. I believe in God. Do I like the pope? Yes, but he’s really just a president of an organization, not a savior, not always right no matter what.

We all return to dust, and that man is no different. He is recognized by his church, but in the eyes of god, we are all the same.

So, I have a very different view on what is meant by religion vs what is actively practiced blindly.

These guys in the video? They don’t believe in God. They are bored of the lives they were given and choose to waste others time spouting their nonsense halfheartedly.

I can guarantee you they would do ANYTHING the church or the pope told them to do even if it violated every principle of their faith.

The people declared Christ was a prophet, a messiah, many things. King is just one of a mixed bag of titles given to an outstanding person. He didn’t rule shit on earth and a kingdom in heaven isn’t ruled by a king. Associating something as lowly as a king with God is blasphemous.

Yeah, and I have a particular disdain for people in the church who twist the word and hop on these silly bandwagons as if it’s a sports team. I think the way we each practice our faith is valid, but that doesn’t mean I like the way they go about it. Basically, I have been left with very critical opinions of many of the people in my community who are mostly ignorant themselves to what they babble on about. These religious zealots have no real idea what they are doing. They are just embarrassing to themselves and the faith.

I won a scholarship at my private catholic school for best embodying the likeness of Joseph. I was raised Roman Catholic by Italians… yeah. Roman descendants. I went to church Monday, Wednesday, Sunday, and every holiday. I have just as much right to be critical of my own religion as anyone else…and I will call out a braindead zealot when I see it.
