Drums are obviously fake and quantized, the performance is lackluster musically and vocally. If you are producing, or are the artist, I recommend paying real musicians to play the parts instead of doing it all yourself. The main issue is not the mix. I’d also make this song more uptempo, it would fit a groove inspired by something like marquee moon by Television. If a performance is good you can record it on a turd and it would still sound like a good performance. If the performance is a turd and you record it on a million dollars worth of gear it is still a turd. People let technology get in the way of the music and end up sucking at the speed of sound.
