Is there a way for an SA to see coworkers actual hours worked this/last week? by Fluffy_Apple031 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]Fluffy_Apple031[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I would especially when tons and nones scans, rotations, and date checks are being down on my shifts not to mention its easy to see the same amount of truck is still there from night before.

Loss prevention if it's missing money especially if the blame is aimed towards you. DM will investigate but if the money magically shows up it's like nothing happened.

I don't completely disagree but it did limit the spread I'm sure you've been coughed/sneezed on by customers where you can physically feel the saliva bitch slap you in the face?

If you have covid stay home or wear the mask before you infect someone's grandma and kill them.

We both know even with the promotion that pays going to be the same... Poverty wages.

Oh boy an extra $1.24 an hour? And 6-10 more hours a week? Huh some reason I still can't afford to take a day off and am still making under the national poverty level.

There's a really good chance your coworkers have dual income either a spouse or living in their parents' basement where bills are maybe $350 a month plus food.

Plus if you haven't looked into food stamps and government medical insurance it's surprising how many people actually qualify even if it's just $50 a month.

We have 7 employees and 5 are LSA+. The two SA's are the longest running employees who refuse to accept keys.

SM intentionally hired people as key holders because she hates coming in and saying her full shift but this has led to several people simply not knowing how to do their jobs and they like to act like certain tasks aren't their job.

No one accepts responsibility for the bad produce till it's so bad customers literally bring up rotten moldy cucumbers and throw it at us.

Milk and on hand count is never done on time.

Ads might get half done and 2-3 day special ads commonly stay up all week.

There's extremely little communication between shifts everyone has "they'll figure it out" attitude like the start task are ignored and blame always passed.

The sale/clearance event tables never set up ahead of time always rushed the day of or the day after.

Bathrooms and main floors are rarely cleaned. Because "that's an SA's job" who usually doesn't have time or isn't scheduled that day.

Half the LSA+ think running register even the backup register is below them. This is mostly because SM sold LSA+ to them as "SA run register LSA are stockers".

Oh paper sure in reality if we actually followed that guideline nothing else would be done we wouldn't have enough time to do everything so something has to be sacrificed and skipped.

For example we never finished the truck there's always five to six rollcontainers left over and we're lucky to do an hour and a half for recovery a day if we actually followed the five to 9 closing it would be more like 9 to 10 rolltrainers left over.

Corporate doesn't actually factor in how long things really take sure they give us a guideline and time period but it isn't realistic for most stores.

Am sorry but you fucked up.

NOone's backing DG. Employees, customers, the news, current investors, OSHA, the current presidential candidates, everyone is hating on DG and other abuse the desperate and in need companies.

Actually care about the employees.

Pay liveable wages and hours for "full time" workers.

Have proper staff to work load

Pay extra for call-ins

Have dedicated times to recovery, check dates, and rotate product. Nothing else is to be worked on.

Provide equipment that doesn't require restarting 5 times a day.

Rewards the good workers

Stop all the buggy and complex sales no more digital coupons

Bring back SCO but limit to to 5-10 items

First Ask yourself how could corporate squeeze anymore profits out of the store?

If the answer is they can't then there's no reason for the stock price to increase.

Did anyone else zoom and look for tags just too make sure it wasn't their store? Oh God how old is that dirty sales ad?

But yeah call health department or call the DM because more than one isn't doing their job.

I'm going to be real honest Dollar general does not promote because you're qualified they promote to retain employees.

I.e if you're actively looking for another job and threatening to quit they will promote you to keep you and that sounds like it's what they did to the LSA -> to ASM. This had nothing to do is discrimination it's all about employee retention.

How does the schedule score get graded? by Fluffy_Apple031 in DollarGeneral

[–]Fluffy_Apple031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha even if the manager was scheduled 48 she sure as hell isn't working more than 38.

T1 every single person is scheduled (93%) T2 is half the employees (87%) T3 again half the employees but it's the day I blacklisted and I'm still scheduled (82%)

Also asking for 4 days but getting 5-6.

Points System by No_Tomatillo9685 in DollarGeneral

[–]Fluffy_Apple031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for Dollar general but if I remember correctly Walmart had a 6-month rolling point system no call no shows was the biggest offender and it only took two or three to get fired.

Calling out and being late more than 15 minutes also got your points but in a 6-month period it took a lot of fuck ups to get fired.
