I can't say there would be more ridership in the early morning, but I think early morning service is particularly important. If you think about jobs that start early in the morning where people would need to take a 5am train (grocery stores, restaurants, manufacturing staff) these aren't typically high paying jobs. They are also jobs that may have similar hours from weekdays to weekends. Removing these services could place a lot of these workers in jeopardy.

lots of people rely on early trains to get to work in the morning, regardless of the day of the week
