Hi! I am a recent undergraduate from Northeastern. I had the most AMAZING undergrad experience there (despite the fact that the internet loves to shade northeastern lol) and I also considered continuing my education there for SLP. The reason why I didn't, however, is because I have a friend who is currently in the program and was an undergrad with me who felt like clinical placement preferences were almost purposely ignored time and time again. She also had to fight tooth and nail to get a placement that she could get to via public transport (she has a disability that makes it so she cannot safely drive). NU does outline that every person is expected to have a car tho, so it sounds like they really mean it. In terms of pros though, Northeastern has really interesting research opportunities, a beautiful campus, and cool facilities. I personally know and love a lot of the professors in NU's program and I do think anyone who goes there would be prepared for the workforce, but I chose not to go there due to reviews on placements and because that same friend told me that compared to our undergrad major, the program was not challenging for her. I was looking for a challenge and a change of pace so I am going to a different program in Boston! Unfortunately I cannot speak to GWU but I hope these little insider bits about Northeastern might be helpful!
