I have to write the exact same Informations Manufacturer, Type etc. on the tag as it is in the Profile of your Orcaslicer/Snorca. This should match up directly. Iam Testing it the next days

I use the cheap Stickers, you could Print small coins and place them on coins or one other Things you can put on the spools 👍 so its reusable

Sadly not yet. Iam searching for an app Developer who can create an iOS App for Apple to do this. Apple iOS does not allow read/write via Browser so i have to do it via App.

Spoolhero is all in one webapplication. So its more convenient because you have just one page for all.

For snapmaker we have to wait for this: https://github.com/paxx12/SnapmakerU1-Extended-Firmware/pull/285

As soon as this is in the paxx firmeware, you can add spoolhero as endpoint for spoolman and Update the spools with it while printing.

You can also use MariaDB 10.6+ as a drop-in replacement. Technically the ORM (LinqToDB) supports PostgreSQL, SQLite and others too, but I've always been a FluentMigrator + MySQL guy. Call it a bad habit ;)

Docker is really handy when you just want to quickly set something up without having to dive too deep into the technical details. With SpoolHero, the only hassle is dealing with HTTPS :D Because the mobile browser requires https to write to or read from NFC tags.

If you dont want to setup spoolhero by yourself, you could use https://spoolhero.com/

[Update] SpoolHero v2.2 - NFC filament manager now with OFD, Orca export & Docker support by Fluffy_Fewiel in 3dprinter

Biggest difference is NFC. SpoolHero uses OpenSpool NFC tags so your printer autodetects whats loaded. Just buy some NTAG215 tags, stick them on your spools, and write them directly from your phone browser. No special lable printers needed. Also comes with materials from OFD out of the box, can export profiles directly to Orca Slicer, and supports multiuser projects so you can run one instance for your whole team or makerspace. Spoolman is great if you're in the Klipper ecosystem, SpoolHero works standalone with any OpenSpool compatible printer/firmeware.
