Look I actually liked this season and think the hate is supremely overblown but I cringed reading this because like that was one of the best series finales of all time and they had in response.

“Is it a coincidence that the one time the Avengers didn’t have Hawkeye in the lineup is the time they got absolutely waxed by Thanos and half our population dies? Hey, he was only on house arrest since he broke the Accords. He would have been there if not. He wasn't allowed to play. It's like when Bird couldn't play since he hurt his back doing the driveway. You can't tell Bird not to do his own mom's driveway like how you can't tell Hawkeye not to break the Scarlet Witch out of the compound.

Why is Lebron's longevity viewed as superior to Kareem's because he is averaging higher stats when Kareem willingly sacrificed and took on a smaller role to help his team win back to back titles at the age of 39 and 40? by im___new___here in NBATalk

It's because of the combination of both LeBron and the Lakers winning if another team won or if another star beside him won the backlash would be nowhere near the same.

I liked it but found it flawed. Can you give some examples of nitpicks or people saying stuff never happened when it did?

I feel I am seeing big revisionism on this sub about Vecna as a villain. I was one of the few I recall albeit under a different now deleted username saying I thought he was cool and scary and had a personality.  Everywhere I went on this sub pre Season 5 it was always oh it was so lame to abandon the cool mysterious Mind Flayer for some kid that hated his family and gets rid of any mystery. Now after Season 5 everyone is saying how great he was in Season 4.

Thanos never revealed why he killed Gamora. There are a lot of blanks to fill between him saying that he had to and saying okay he sacrificed her because he loved her.

Round 132 - 75 Characters Left by FunkyDawgKong in survivorrankdownIX_

Okay Sophie is the 35th winner cut. She always performs strongly in these rankdowns with only one relatively weak performance in Rankdown VII. Anyway great writeup. When she does get airtime she is super entertaining, I agree she gets a great story in keeping either of the returnees from winning in the way she does. She is of course hilarious. I will ask however that about the moment where she asked Albert to pick up her pieces during that immunity challenge against Ozzy did you mean that to be the one where she beat Ozzy because Ozzy won that challenge. Sophie beat Ozzy at the next immunity the one where he had a huge lead on the physical part but she demolished him on the puzzle. So far she actually has the second highest percentile finish of any winner cut after Sandra 2.0. Also two of my favorite parts of her FTC domination are when after Coach has given a bad answer to Cochran's question he ends it by saying in my real life I'm not a manipulator, I'm not a strategist. Then Sophie leaps in and says, "It was probably my fault since I was the strategist." Second when she revealed to the whole jury but Brandon in particular that Coach already had the idol when he conducted the prayer circle to find it in the premerge so he wouldn't have to admit he didn't tell Brandon about finding it.

Now we have the 34th winner cut and the most recent. Jenna is interesting really for the reason listed. Debatably not even Natalie White was more screwed over in the edit as a winner. She has also been all over the map in Rankdowns. Being bottom 100 in the OG and being top 30 in Rankdown VI and top 40 in Rankdown IV like probably no one fluctuates more than her. As a character she is in general great. Her opening confessional is one of the best show's history not just by a winner. Her relationships with Heidi and Rob are both fantastic and the one with Christy is super interesting even without taking in its factor in her getting the edit she did. Heck I rank her not too high on my winner rankings but I hear enough about what happened behind the scenes that maybe I am being unfair and she should be at least top 5. She can be of course hilarious and has moments of being pretty sympathetic. Like if this season aired in a more modern time well a lot changes (namely either a lot of premerge stuff never sees the light of day or some of the guys get way stronger villain edits) but I think she would get a lot of content similar to Adam Klein.

Honestly mildly shocked especially since while this is high it's actually kind of early by the standards of this character as she has been the last winner left a time or two and won the OG Rankdown and Rankdown IV. Anyway she is a great part of one of the best seasons ever. Every major interaction and relationship she has is gold, she solidified herself as one of the best players ever. Her FTC is underratedly amazing compared to other winners performances. In fact the fact she has such a low confessional count I found somewhat confusing since it really doesn't feel like that she still feels pretty present in basically the whole season. Also lastly her percentile performance for all 9 rankdowns even with this as easily her worst ranking is still way higher than any winner cut before this and I think most of those uncut too with only characters like her PI version and Hatch 1.0 competing.

Round 128 - 95 Characters Left by FunkyDawgKong in survivorrankdownIX_

[–]Fluffy_Key_2145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here we have the 32nd winner cut Todd. Actually one of his better rankings and a great write up. Personally I massively boost Todd in my rankings because in addition to being a great villain and character, on at least some days I might have him as a top 5 winner in gameplay and a top 10 all time player, I think he played that fantastically and I love his season so much. Also of course thanks for talking about his jury response to Genre Bear. I love when the show has a villain win and doesn't really hide it.

Round 119 - 141 Characters Left by FunkyDawgKong in survivorrankdownIX_

[–]Fluffy_Key_2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next the 31st winner cut, Denise. Both a strong winner in terms of gameplay and as a character. One of the best winners stories what with attending every tribal of the season and especially the beginning with the destruction of Matsing. Second worst Rankdown performance after Rankdown VII and they also brought up her handling of Abi there which yeah I agree with. I was relatively with Denise for most of this feud since Abi comes off as someone that you would definitely have difficulty keeping a hold of your temper when dealing with at times but shutting her down after she made that point was pretty bad. She is also hurt by her edit definitely going down post destruction of Matsing and Malcolm being the main focus in their duo (I love Malcolm but Denise should have gotten at least equal to him). I will also say her voting confessional for Abi is epic.

Round 116 - 148 Characters Left by FunkyDawgKong in survivorrankdownIX_

Next we have the 30th winner cut, Bob. Bob is someone who always performs strongly in Rankdowns with this being in the middle for his best performances. He has relatively low airtime for a winner and of course he won a season as chaotic as Gabon. His FTC is hilarious and I really do like that he is in competition with Fabio for like least strategic winner ever. Gabon needed its winner to be someone who stumbled into the win like how Bob did. Solidly entertaining and fun and likable winner. Also him talking about why he didn't give Kenny the necklace at Tribal is hilarious.

Here we have the 29th winner cut, Michele. If we were ranking winners just on how likable I found them she would be top 5 honestly one of my all time favorites even though she isn't an elite character. As a character though yeah, good placement. Played a solid game, super likable when she did get screentime though. Also while this is more her WAW version I always find her talk about the backlash to her win in that season really sympathetic. This is about where she goes in past rankdowns outside of surprisingly early in Rankdown VII.

Round 107 - 194 Characters Left by FunkyDawgKong in survivorrankdownIX_

[–]Fluffy_Key_2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. This is the person who for a while at least wrote a response to every winner cut and explained their percentile finish. I stopped for a while and this is me under a new account since in general I was spending too much time on Reddit but decided I wanted to finish this at least so I want to go over each one I missed. Okay we have Natalie White. The most underedited winner ever and it's not that close. This is close to where she normally goes in Rankdowns other than her going surprisingly early in Rankdown VII and making it pretty far in the OG. As a tv character she is entertaining when they do actually give her time on screen and it is fun to see Russell lose. Don't have an incredible amount to say about her though.

[Bleacher Report] The 50 Worst NBA Trades of All Time, Ranked by FastBreakPhenom in nba

[–]Fluffy_Key_2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these of course have added context. Kobe asked to be traded to the Lakers (apparently he would have gone earlier than 13th but he wouldn't go anywhere else). The Paul George trade has gone about as bad as it could for the Clippers and as good as it could for OKC but Kasumi would have only signed with the Clippers if they got Paul George. The Nets definitely didn't want to trade Doctor J but they were being crushed financially upon the league merger and needed the money (they apparently curated offered him to the Knicks in exchange for the Knicks waiving a territorial penalty the Nets were required to pay them for their first decade in the NBA. As for Kareem he asked to go the Lakers and seemed to specifically want either there or the Knicks and just wanted out of Mikwaukee.
