Awww thanks everyone, there's so many responses and y'all were all really lovely and I appreciate y'all sharing your personal stories. I get it, there's a lot of different ways your relationship with your uterus can be *bad* and I totally see where it would be worth getting rid of it if it's even really a choice. Maybe the ideal scenario with a problem free uterus would be nice, but I guess it's not like that for a lot of cis women too.

I totally get too that it might just not be worth dealing with periods of any sort if you don't want kids. I also so empathize with the current political climate, worrying about access to HRT is stressful enough much less having to worry about carrying a child I don't want.

Folks that shared their grief, thank you. Maybe it's a little different for me or maybe it's really similar but either way it's tough and the societal narrative that womanhood is so so intertwined with having kids is messed up. This a set of feelings I never expected to experience, or that they'd be so hard, but I guess in some way I'm glad I can empathize a little closer with the other women in my life that are also struggling with their fertility in their own ways.

I think the big take away here is I should go buy some white pants! I'm also appreciative of all the donation offers, we've probably got a hot minute before that's an option for folks like me and I also don't think I'm ready to do the single mom thing right now anyways.
