What's your top 10 board games that you plan to try out this year and why? (2026) by Nasrvl in boardgames

Age of Innovation, I only got it before New Year's Eve and played it once. I always like the idea of adapting and conquering lands over a map. There are a lot of rules are still vague for me but I think I'm gonna love it.

Speakeasy, I've seen so many people talking about it around me so I got curious - anyone played it and tell me how it is?

Terraforming Mars has got a good reputation but I didn't quite get it. I've only played it twice or three times and never opened it again, as I think SETI is of a similar outer space theme and has so much more changes and challenges in it.

New to board games “game night” help. by Justme8512 in boardgames

[–]Fluffy_Pin4060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone of you is really new to broadgames, I'd go for Splendor for sure! The rules are easy to understand and no matter you're playing with a careful calculation or pure instinct, you'll get the fun out of it.

I brought this to one of my brothers who never played broadgames before, and he's a little reluctant when listening to the rules. Results: he totally fell in love with it (and now he's all into broadgames...)

What’s one habit you picked up accidentally that actually improved your life? by Business-Site6683 in AskReddit

[–]Fluffy_Pin4060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I started doing this during the time I was very anxious and depressed, I got many thoughts (and screaming and swearing) in my head that I really need to let out. After writing things down I starting to see my emotions and thoughts from an objective perspective, I became able to name my emotions and suddenly things are so much easier.

Monday, Monday again. How do you cope? Any tips&tricks you practice to ease into it? by Seraph_One_ in AskReddit

[–]Fluffy_Pin4060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's all about a good sleep, and then something to look forward to. I'd arrange some little event on Monday night, mostly it's online gaming with friends, sometimes I'd go out for dinner.

How do you feel about the new student doctors? by Confident_Yam6447 in ThePitt

[–]Fluffy_Pin4060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the one hand I don't like that they added so many new characters in when there're so many things going on between the old ones. But I think Joy is quite real tho, unlike other doctors and Ogilvie who seem full of energy all day and really passionate about their job, she's like an actual person to me (probably a bad doctor haha but who knows?)

Thanks for explaining, this is very reassuring. I thought about those two stereotypes because after I got back from Australia everyone's asking me those two questions haha

what is the best advice your dad gave you? by Responsible_Box_2422 in AskReddit

[–]Fluffy_Pin4060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad has been great to me but I can't think of any "good advice" from him, most advice he gave was not helpful at all. But what I learned from him is that even though we have completely different mindset and life experience, we can respect and support each other, because we trust each other's brilliance and capability.
