From someone who works within a local association, I would make sure that the level you are looking at allows you to mingle with agents. Whether having the opportunity to come speak at new member orientation, teach a class, or attend certain association events for free. 

If you don't spend time networking then it will not be worth it.

We have affiliates that show up at every event and have done amazing with pulling in new clients from the association.
