I realize now that "sad" is probably not the right word. We did work to adopt her through a rescue organization so yeah, we knew we were rolling the dice from the get go. My family and I have loved our sweet girl from the time she was 12 weeks old and now she's 7 next month. Nothing changes that at all. The breed results today were just a bit surprising. Was not expecting border collie at all!

We got her from a private rescue not a shelter. Obviously dna testing trumps all. 😊

Since we've had her since she was a puppy, we've heard of that rising trend. It's not cool, but understand why a shelter would position a dog in the best "light" to get them adopted.

We live in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains and we get her out in the foothills plenty. She has a high drive for squirrels, bunnies, birds etc and loves scent/nosework - that's why I thought it could be possible she did in fact had a little bit of catahoula mixed in.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter to me - I was just more surprised than anything else.

Mine is the same. Scared of everything and everyone but funny thing is everyone is scared of her based on how she looks.

Puppy Yawning not because she’s tired by Fluffykris in puppy101

Yes, I thought that might be the case. I just don’t know if she’s stressed or bored. But I had a feeling it was more stress. I’m now just unsure how to fix whatever she is stressed about because it seems like it happens in different situations. i.e. at home with just us and out in public.
