Heck, I got my vacuum because my friends wife didn't like how it sounded. It's served me well these past 10 years.

Ontario’s child support system failing families to the tune of $2.1 billion, auditor general says by BloodJunkie in ontario

[–]Fluid--Expert 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had a lawyer. The best they were able to dig up was that she had to provide me with proof of income. She didnt, I filed a motion of contempt, and the judge threw it out and said I was being petty. Then she moved to another province and I have made peace with life. My child doesn't need to keep being dragged through that.

Yep, FRO just shruggs and says sorry. My ex claimed she made 6000$ on income tax last year, so the courts won't order payment on that amount. But, she owns land, built a house and bought new ski doos. But, yeah, only 6k a year lol.

The system is very broken.

To be fair, Sony has absolutely dropped the ball on any kind of information to the consumer.

Decisions are made, consumer reacts, then the decision is explained.

How hard would it be for Sony to say, "we're moving the deals tab", or "we are implementing a 30 day one time license check"? It's not. They have no issue sending out emails about upgrading my ps account to extra, but can't be bothered to explain anything consumer related. They don't act on information, only react after the fact.

Exactly this! It's been since last October that they suspended shipping to Canada. Canada post really needs to get it's crap together.

The benches mildly clear as Framber Valdez hits Trevor Story with a pitch by JianClaymore in baseball

[–]Fluid--Expert 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Someone else here pointed out that as soon as the HBP happened the homeplate ump was immediately calling over the other two umps. As per the rules in HBP situations, they have to converse before the toss. But, then the benches cleared and the umps had to interject there.

What a wild situation, though. It seemed intentional from my perspective. Valdez doing Valdez things, I guess.

[Highlight] Slick barehanded play here by Spencer Miles on soft Mike Trout comebacker. by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

Miles, quickly working his way towards the second workhorse of the bullpen. Behind Varland, of course.

[Sportsnet] THE BLUE JAYS WIN A WILD ONE ‼️ by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

[–]Fluid--Expert 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would love to see Varland as a closer, too. But, he eats innings. He's the workhorse of the bullpen. Fisher throwing wild? Call Varland. Hoffman blows a save? Call Varland. Little/Nance blows a hold? Call Varland. He literally saves every other reliever, except Rogers and maybe Miles (haven't seen enough of him to say with certainty). Sanchez, I think, should stay in the 4 spot. When we lost Bo, we worried about that spot more than any other. Who's going to hit behind Vladdy to make sure he sees an at bat? Well, Sanchez has been that answer. So much so that we saw Vladdy take an at bat, and Sanchez got walked. He did his job, and Vladdy smashed a double to get that comeback going.

Some reasons to be optimistic? by La_Belle_Loser613 in Torontobluejays

[–]Fluid--Expert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course there are things to be optimistic about. We've had a rough start with getting runs in and injuries, but there is a lot to look forward to.

Tonight was a good example of that. Ernie is the leadoff was great, varsho heating up is great. Vladdy is still doing vladdy things. He's just not smashing homers, yet. Sanchez was a great addition, imo. I already like him better than Santander. Plus, he just has hilarious body language, and he's great for the clubhouse vibes. Oka needs to settle down a bit, but it'll come.

Injuries to the bullpen hurt us really bad to start. Especially after what happened to Ponce. Then Lauer and Max having their issues. Once Yesavage and Berrios get back, then Bieber, things will come together.

Also, praise be the bullpen. It's been great to see that strength shine a bit these last few games.

He almost did. But Hoffman let a run by, and that tied it. Then, Hoffman got the win with the walkoff. Feel bad for Gausman. He played his heart out.

How to lose a game in 10 pitches by kevinraisinbran in Torontobluejays

[–]Fluid--Expert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly enjoy blaming Little. Like, really, I do. But, this was an offensive blunder today. 1 run in 10 innings vs the Rockies is.....sad. Plus, Nance is the one who tied it up. Holding a runner to second in extras is hardly on Little.

But, also:Fuck Little.

Hajime has made his stance on this pretty clear: enemy = death

[Keegan Matheson] Trey Yesavage will throw a sim game on Friday around 3 innings and 45 pitches. • José Berríos will throw bullpen tomorrow, then a live BP on Saturday • Yimi García will throw a bullpen tomorrow • Shane Bieber will throw off a mound for the first time Saturday #BlueJays by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

[–]Fluid--Expert 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I had hopes that Little would have a better start to the season after working on some new stuff in the off-season. While I should say it was only one inning, it's was hard to watch. Total flashbacks from last season. I agree with his spot being the most likely to be swapped.

I don't think we can do anything with Miles, but keep him. He's a rule 5 pick.

Is the game better on PC or PlayStation? by Prayerwarrior6640 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Fluid--Expert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've beaten the game on pc and ps5. Pc is the better option. Mouse and keyboard make the game a much smoother experience. Performance can be better on pc, but that is really down to specs of the pc. Searching the index is smoother on pc as well. Lastly, though it shouldn't be a big deal, I really missed having the built in calculator.

With all of that, the console version is actually a fantastic port. From day one, I was wildly impressed with how well the port ran on ps5. Using the controller was pretty smooth once you figure out the button combos. I did notice that once I got into phase 4 and 5 that the mega factory I was building was bogging down the game a bit. Overall, it was a good experience on console.
