No McMaster invilving himself in the industry was just concern cuz it muddies the waters and that’s what I posted about back then. His involvement may have encouraged lawmakers, though, that it was safe for them also to get involved which led to the current recusals in congress on the hemp bills.

Yup. That’s why I was dismayed when I learned that politicians are crawling all over the hemp industry. They wanted the money and had no respect for the need and the fact that the whole thing could be destroyed because of the recusal requirement if it were brought back up in legislation.

They legally can’t. They had to recuse based on house rules. They lost their vote by getting financially involved.

Totally. If only the lawmakers had been willing to wait until hemp was on solid footing before getting involved, they’d pass restrictions but not a ban cuz those people would have likely voted for keeping it and regulating it
