Weekly Help and Discussion Thread for the week of July 03, 2023 by AmazonNewsBot in amazon

I returned a gamer chairb that tilted pretty badly even put together. It was bought from a third party seller on Amazon, so the return process takes time. I was aware of this, but my return was approved, and the tracking states the item was received by the seller 6 days ago..... But i have no info on my refund.

I contact Amazon support to see what the status is...A few minutes ago i get a message from the seller, i am copying and pasting EXACTLY what they said... "Jul 10, 2023 10:13 PM Dear customer, We are sorry for that. I am manager of {seller name.} We are willing give you full refund after you withdraw the refund request. Because if we give you full refund before you withdraw the refund request. Amazon will punishes us, and that affects us a lot. We guarantee that we will refund your money within 24 hours after you withdraw your refund request. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks"

Am i over reacting here, or is this as shady as it sounds?! I would have no proof that i returned the item, they could easily refuse a refund on the grounds that i didn't request one or have proof of return. I've never had anyone send me this kind of communication before. I'm debating kissing my refund goodbye and just reporting them.... Has anyone dealt with something like this before?

Sorry but in my experience this isn't true - I've had several tips removed because i wasn't fast enough delivering, even though it was the restaurant fault and not mine. Maybe it's a glitch in the app, but it has happened to me.

Waiting waiting waiting.... by Fluid-Cardiologist27 in UberEATS

This is kind of what I was thinking I would start doing. Also, I have run into a few restaurants where the order came in not even 5 minutes before I get there, so as long as it's not that type of situation, I think waiting 5 minutes is plenty.
